Pros:

IMO, this wasn't your normal grip and rip course. It was more! Granted the course was out in the dessert in a town (Quartsite, AZ.) out in the middle of now where. But it still had more than a few interesting holes.

you could tell that the club/ or individuals has done a lot of work done to make this course shine in the vast desert wasteland

Very clever usage of used Washing machine cylinders/tubs for all the baskets except for one hole.

I thought # 2 MY LHBH anhyzer drive towards the somewhat hidden (prairie brush) basket with a backdrop of a dry creek bed was an interesting hole.

Average length of each hole is 366 feet.

tee signs we're just a propped up flat stone with red painted hole # and distance (I've played a lot of courses that don't even have that)

tees boxes we're more than adequate.

a few minutes off the 10

Cons:

little to no elevation

only 1 bench and no restrooms on the course.

little or no shade.

sand/gravel will chew up your discs

only 9 holes, plenty of room to add more holes (from what I saw)

Other Thoughts:

IMHO this dessert course was a better DG course and easier to walk than the course in Lake Havasu City (as the higher graded Lake Havasu course. LHC had bigger rocks to transverse on than this course and the holes weren't as hard as Tobin Brenard Area.)

I played this course in December, so the weather (mid 60's) was better here than in my home state of Ohio (teens).

I don't mind playing a course like this and this could be the perfect example for other new courses of having little to work with, but having a lot to do with!
