For a small town Great 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 6, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

For a tiny town this is a nice 9 hole.
Good signs.
Great Baskets
Nice little park.
Looks its a tiny town in an old park but they still have a well mowed course.

Cons:

Layed out a little odd. They could have added more distance or more holes. I know not 18 but could have had a 12 or made everything longer

Other Thoughts:

#2 is hidden behind the building
If your town stop by but dont go out of your way
no elevation changes or anything

What is up with hole 9? 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 26, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Map at the parking lot
Tee signs marking hole number and distance
Good baskets

Cons:

Grass tees
9 and 4 cross fairways
Poor design for hole 8 and 9

Other Thoughts:

Small towns usually have small parks. It is good to have a 9 hole course in any town.

However, good course design is important.

The course runs a figure 8 around the outside part of the park.

Hole 1 is a good little turnover shot.

Hole 2 is hidden behind the building. Short forehand was my shot choice.

Hole 3 is an open hyzer shot back towards the parking area

Hole 4 tees off next to the bridge and is a decent short hole

Hole 5 throws along the road, short straight shot.

Hole 6 is missing a line, there are a few tight ones, but it is a short hole either way

Hole 7 also throws along the road, short straight shot

Hole 8. Not a good hole, I think the intent was to throw around the basketball court, however when you are standing next to the tee sign, you can just throw right over the court. I just threw a huge highzer around the light poles for my 2.

Now you have to walk around the pool to the tree's near the road. The tee sign had 510 marked on it, but because it is all grass, where you to see off from. The natural instinct was to throw straight at the hole over the road and over playground equipment. But if you throw what I think your suppose to, you want to land near the bridge area for your upshot to get your 3.

There is nothing wrong with holes 1 to 7, I have a problem with 8 and 9. Take 8 totally out, have 8's tee near where 9's tee is and have the shot down to the bridge area. Then put 9 from around 4't tee area down to the parking lot.

No crossing fairways and better flow. Only a long walk from 7 to 8
