heat heat and more heat. 2+ years drive by

Pros:

wonderful layout. a very easy trail to follow with perfectly descriptive signs. wide open fields where you can just launch every disc in your bag. also some holes with a lot of skill required such as holes 3-6 are along water and with the slightest of wind its gone. hole 14 is hard because of trees everywhere you turn. with the right selections of shots you will definatly leave this course a better disc golfer

Cons:

since its mostly open fields theres really no shade so the sun is just beating down on you nonstop (flaorida days could get as hot as 100 degrees). if you go late in july to august prepare to get caught in thunderstorms. bring lots of bug spray and sun lotion

Other Thoughts:

even though there are water fountians the first one is on hole 15 so bring plenty of water and a lunch because the heat really takes away a lot of energy from you.

Decent, but nothing special 2+ years drive by

Pros:

18 holes, nice secluded park. Course & park was empty when we played. Clean, well maintained.

Cons:

Mostly in the open, challenges are just holes next to the nearby waterway. Have to pay to get into the park.

Other Thoughts:

An OK course, and judging from the number of courses in the surrounding area, there's not much to choose from.

The park is nice, but the holes are mostly out in the open (from what I recall) and the biggest challenges are baskets placed right on the edge of the river running near most of the holes on the front nine.

I am a bit biased towards technical holes, at least a few on a course. Not much of that here.

Worth the trip 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jan 14, 2000 Played the course:once

Pros:

Beautiful Florida course. This track is quite challenging, yet still accessible for new players. A few nice risk-reward opportunities and several beautiful holes. Hole 3 is a moderately-long par 3 with water right and woods left and one of the most beautiful/best holes in all of disc golf.

Course definitely challenges your wind game.

Butterfly world on site is a nice visit for the family.

Cons:

The course is a bit overly-crush biased.

Other Thoughts:

Disagree with the other review of "tight" fairways. It's mostly wide-open.

Don't be a dirty discer. Leave the course cleaner than you found it!

Pros:

Very challenging course, tight fairways. Multiple throwing styles helps a lot here.

Cons:

Wind can kill you.

Other Thoughts:

Make sure you bring plenty of water.
