Other Thoughts:

The Trinity Disc Golfers and members of the college worked hard to make this a nice course. The details on this site are out of date. Unfortunately, visitors who failed to respect the college rules, no alchohol or tobacco, and who also left trash behind rather than carrying out have caused the college to close the course to the public. Perhaps after some time, the college will try again.

Pros:

This course has definitely been updated/modified within the last year (possibly the last month). The back nine baskets have been re-arranged, and it looks like more land was added. I have uploaded a new course photo with some decent markings which show the changes, sorry for the poor quality.

Arrow indicators on the baskets make this course much easier to navigate.

I had to pull a fair number of different shots, with the new layout Im sure there are additional shots for those who have already played this course. There are some technical, smaller distance holes alongside some longer fairway throws. Difficulty I would categorize in the beginner range still, but it absolutely requires effort from a skilled player too. I played with quite a few different shots, and also lost a driver to the swamp with a foolishly errant throw.

There is something to be said about the beauty and calm of this course for sure. The new Hole 12 & 13 provide quite a signature view.

Cons:

This course is still missing a lot of the those helpful amenities such as a course map, community board, tee diagrams, basket flags, seating etc. But those are secondary sometimes... There is clearly attention being paid to this course, if more people play perhaps it will see some upgrades in these areas.

They are carpet pads, but thats never bad in its own right... These carpet pads havent been replaced in a while sadly thats what makes them poor--I tee'd off on the ground a number of times.

Elevation is flat, but expected for Florida.

Regarding location, its definitely not the most conveniently accessible and there are plenty better if youre simply visiting the Tampa area but if you live in or around Tampa it is worth a play. I want to revisit this one.

Other Thoughts:

Holes 1-9 flow through a piece of the campus, but I didnt have any issues with pedestrians. Park in the parking lot, and walk behind the "Administration Center". There is a traffic cone posting up for Hole 1, if you can find this the navigation from there should be a breeze. I could 100% see this course having navigation concerns without the arrow indicators, but they exist now and like I said they look very new and really make this course a fun 18 basket delight.

Follow the #9 arrow to #10 all the way, you will reach the end of a paved road that has tee markings for hole #12, this is confusing at first. Based on the older uploaded map diagram it looks like this hole was originally #12, but was changed to #10 (as a result of all the construction changes). Its basically a 1000ft bomb, but there are carpet pads at roughly 700ft, 500ft, and I believe 300 ft. Holes 15-18 play directly to the right of this fairway. With the field winds I could see it easy to lose a disc over a lightly barbed fence. The new holes for 12 & 13 are assuredly deeper in the woods now, and overlook an absolutely beautiful pasture w/ a blue lake thats worth a drive by.
