It's just not very much fun at all. 2+ years

Pros:

-Difficult course that takes significant advantage of elevation and length.

-Good variety of basket positions that keeps the course fresh from time to time.

-The back 9 are some good holes, with a nice mix of long wooded holes and long wide open uphill and downhill holes, some tricky landing zones and greens, and some water running throughout to keep you one your toes, nothing's going to steal your disc though. Hole 18 can be as long as 1000 ft in its long position with some uphill heaves followed by tricky downhill approaches to a rollaway green.

Cons:

-I know the club works hard to keep it in good condition but there's almost always plenty of trash everywhere you go, and the grass is usually dead and the trees are dying and you're always near a road or a highway.

-There are somehow significant walks from tees to the next basket and yet many tee boxes are in danger of getting hit from drives on other tees. Throughout you've got to keep your head on a swivel in terms of crossing fairways and poorly placed tee boxes, not to mention the close proximity of fenced in yards, parked cars, various expensive lawsuits waiting for your wrist roll.

-While many of the holes are long and feature exciting elevation, a nice challenge, many of the baskets are blind from the tee (and rotated frequently), requiring you to walk 300 ft or so uphill and downhill just to see where the basket is, then you walk back to the tee, catch your breath, and take your shot. It's a great place to get your steps in!

-The front 9 is just dumb. Wide-open holes all next to each other and then some silly short holes through trees that are really just poke and hopes.

-There's always a lot of traffic when I'm here, both other DGers and people hanging out, so the rounds are long and slow and you're worried about hitting people.

-Artificial out of bounds and Mandos abound to try to carve some difficulty out of an environment that's really not naturally suited to DG.

-Minimal shade so it's hot as hell for a lot of the year.

Other Thoughts:

This is one of the more popular and higher-rated courses in the metroplex but it's just not fun to play. You walk too far to play a dumb long or silly short hole and worry about hitting another person or a car and then move on to the next one. My buddies live nearby so we play it a lot but I almost always regret it. It's an absolute workout but not in an interesting way, just in a "I wish we just went to Veterans".

Bring your Leopards and throw up hill and hit lines get your pars while drinking some beers to keep you hydrated and distracted from the sort of sad environs.
