Pros:

The main appeal of Turtle Bay disc golf course is that it's located in a beautiful resort that offers tons to do onsite.

The course is laid out across a relatively small area of land at the resort and plays out by the beach towards the end. You are footsteps away from a beautiful beach after you complete your round.

Other activities available at the resort:
*Surf school
*Dining
*Tennis
*Segway tour
*Mountain biking
*Ball golf
*Public beach access

Probably a ton more in addition to the ones listed above. I am not staying at Turtle Bay during my visit to Oahu, but it seems like a really nice place.

Cons:

The disc golf course is lackluster and despite the greens fee required, it's clear that it is not a priority at the resort.

The navigation at the course is horrible with zero vertical signage indicating tee areas, which are mostly marked with a green circle on the ground... note that not all of the tees are marked in this way, which makes life more confusing. Once you finally find the tee areas, youll likely have a wide open hyzer shot ahead of you with the exception of two or three drives. The baskets are all portable and in pretty rough condition.

According to the adventure center, the resort often has activities on the fairways of the DG course, which further shows the low priority of the course on the property.

I usually have no problem paying $10 per person at a disc golf course if I can see that the greens fees are being used to improved the course. Unfortunately, it was clear that the greens fees that I paid at this course were not going into the course.

Other Thoughts:

If you're not staying at Turtle Bay, then I would not recommend making the trip solely for the sake of playing this course, but if I was staying at Turtle Bay I'd play this course daily for practice during my vacation!

As a resort, turtle Bay looked awesome and when I'm planning my next trip to Oahu there's a good chance that I'll choose to vacation at turtle Bay, based partially on the fact that there's disc golf on site!!

Fun fact: the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" was filmed at Turtle Bay!
