Pros:

Real baskets! Yes they are on movable bases, but they are solidly set, so it is semi-permanent. The current 12 holes make good use of the available land. It was nice to play with the sound of the crashing waves in the background!

Cons:

Mostly open shots, with little challenge other than distance and wind.

Other Thoughts:

Currently the basket for hole 3 is partially surrounded by shipping containers, so it makes for a much more difficult shot, trying to work around them. I could not find the tee for hole 12, I think that there is some construction equipment covering the wooden markers, or at least that what it looks like from the map. I teed off from the foot golf tee and called it good.

I really enjoyed my time playing here! My wife tagged along for the first round then found a nice hammock to relax in while I ran through it again. The resort is really nice and everyone was real hospitable. I brought my own disks so the charge was only $3, but if you used their discs it was $10 and they all looked like beat up Innova stuff. The check in is at the snack shop next to the tennis courts so you get something to cool you down after a nice hot round. Definitely a must play if you are on Oahu and have some time!

Ok course, but worth a trip... 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:May 16, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

...because, hey disc golf on O'ahu! Small, 12 hole course at a beautiful resort that is worth a trip itself. Most of the holes were open and required little thought, other than how to deal with the wind. A good selection of distance, and the complexity increases if you play the road OB. A couple of wooded holes, but mostly the course is wide open. The Adventure Center rents discs, which is s nice touch.

Cons:

It's hard to look at the gorgeous ball golf course next door and not feel like you're just a side thought. The day I played three of the holes were unplayable because of a luau set up for that evening. The wind is rough here, but that's part of the challenge. Tee pads are marked by wood slats in the ground, and baskets are portables (but good metal ones). There's no signage, but the course is easy to navigate with a map (available at the adventure center and on this web site).

Other Thoughts:

This is a great resort that welcomes visitors even if you aren't staying here. There's a lovely beach for sunning and swimming though the surf can get rough. Fun to watch the surfers on some of the bigger waves. There's lots to do here, so it's worth a trip to come play a round and enjoy the beach and bar. Lots for the family and friends to do while you play.
