Twin Creeks Park is a cool looking facility with a very nice ADA compliant play system and ball field. It seems like safety is a major concern of the Park District. Why they crammed a shooting-gallery disc golf course where players throw a each other all day into this otherwise well planned park is a mystery.

The course has nice DGA baskets and the classic Clark Park-inspired Northwest Suburbs Monolith tee pad that are long enough to land an airplane on. The tee signs are below average old DGA signs.

The shots range from ridiculously short (hole #1 is 139') to a healthy 380' from the #7 long tee. Holes #1-#4 are in a small area behind the ball field and are all short, holes #5-#7 shoot back and forth and have 300'+ distances, then #8-#9 revert back to <200' distances.

Holes #1-#4 are crammed together. Hole # 2 shoots back toward the building/ball field and is so short that you could easily go long into those areas. #2 sits in a basin with the ball field drainage aimed at it; since the ball field is all artificial the water just rolls into the basin, often making #2 a muddy mess. All of these tees and baskets are too close together to be considered safe.

Holes #5-#7 are a bit better from a safety perspective, but they are still too close together. The are also basically the same shot, and it gets repetitive to throw the same shot three holes in a row.

Hole #8 is a short hyzer around a fence a la #3 at Clark Park. There doesn't seem to be a good way to get your disc back if you go over the fence. Hole #9 is a short blind anyzer from and elevated tee that shoots back at the # 7/#6 fairway. The course makes no attempt to wrap back toward the parking lot, so once you finish on #9 you have to walk past #7, #6, #5, #4 and #1 to get back to your car.

The section of this course that holds #5-#9 is simply below average, but the shooting-gallery pitch 'n putt section that holds holes #1-#4 is beyond terrible. It was so bad I almost didn't go looking for the rest of the course. This course is simply a dud.

- Twin Creeks, aptly named, is sandwiched into a small park tucked behind a playground. A highway bounds the course to one side. One of the two drainage streams bisects the property in half. Roughly half the course resides on one side and the remainder on the other. A fenced-in brick building bounds one side of the park on the far side, creating a unique fence shot.
- Elevation. There's enough minor ups and downs here to keep things interesting. #2's short downhill acerun provides some excitement, while #3's elevated long tee and #8's slightly sloped green do their best to keep this course from falling into the hopelessly flat category.
- Water. While nothing major and easily avoided, the two creeks do pose a minor hazard, especially on #5.
- HUGE concrete tees. Similar if not identical to Willow Stream's pads.
- The park was empty and seems like a great spot for field and putting practice.

- Cramped. Fun enough if you're the only group there; a nightmare if not. Right off the bat, #1 and 4's baskets are waaay too close to each other. #'s 5, 6, and 7 all overlap to some degree as they play back and forth through the property, as do #'s 2 and 3. Yikes!
- #8 plays along a fence (on the left). Experienced players will mostly avoid this hazard, but beginners could easily lose discs over the fence on errant shots. Personally, I really like this hole as it creates some
artificial hazard; however, the "irretrievable factor" for a beginner style course is fairly harsh.
- #'s 2 and 3 throw over what look to be a frequently flooded area.
- The nearby highway takes away pretty much all of the "tucked away seclusion" vibe Twin Creeks was desperately trying to give off.

- Relatively short in distance. Only #'s 5, 6, and 7 get anywhere near 300'. Long pads on #'s 3 and 7 help mitigate this issue a bit.
- Crowded design induced safety hazards, skeezy "creeks," janky fence shots, noisy highways, and flooded holes. No thanks.

The course plays around a tiny flat park with some scattered small trees and a small dry retention pond. Some of the holes make use of the trees to define fairways and make otherwise easy holes slightly more challenging.

The tee pads are some of the nicest around. They are giant concrete pads that are all in excellent shape, and frankly are way overkill for such a short little course. There are tee signs on every hole, many are falling apart and #4 is missing, but the course is still easy to navigate.

The park seemed well maintained, with nicely mowed grass throughout. There was no trash on the course, and no brush that really came into play. Only one hole had any chance of losing a disc, and that's a pretty minimal risk.

This is the shortest and simplest course I've ever played. Most of the holes are under 200 feet, and none are long enough not to be reachable with a putter. There is very little challenge to any of the holes, with nearly all being short and straight ahead.

Some holes play near a walking path and around a small baseball field. Errant throws could easily be a hazard for other park users. Similarly, all holes play on top of one another, and very near other tees. If there were any number of players at once on the course, it would be a real issue.

Right now, holes 8 and 9 are sharing one makeshift basket, making awkward shots for both, as well as necessitating throwing right at people playing the other hole. It seems that one basket is missing, and one was broken, so one was cobbled together and moved to a spot that makes both the last two holes odd and boring.

This course would be fine if you're taking a first time player or children, but anyone who's played before will find the course simple and boring. With the complete lack of any challenge or variety, along with the safety hazards if you're sharing the course, I really don't recommend playing this course at all. If you do play, don't bring anything but a putter, and maybe a midrange for a couple slightly longer holes.

If you're in the area, and just want to bag a course, go for it. Otherwise, drive the 2 miles south to a much better course at Willow Stream Park.

this course is not good. You can stop by on a lunch break or for a quick round by yourself to practice your short game.

no chance for a competition, you either get a 1 or a 2 every hole. extremely short.

I suppose they made good use of the land available. a good warm up course for people learning to play.
