Pros:
Disclaimer: Knew it was a short course going into it.
That said, I absolutely loved playing it. There were enough trees to make the shots be thought through.
The usual pros: BIG concrete Tee pads, good flow and use of what elevation there was there. Also, placed in a nice, scenic city park.
Baskets 2 and 3 were the only wide open throws. The rest were either protected by trees directly or the fairway had a line of them.
Several memorable holes:
#1 short but trees positioned in such a way you had to decide how to bend your throw.
#2 slightly longer but downhill into a recessed area.
#8 dog leg left over or around a public works fenced area. and
#9 blind dog leg right around the trees.
as stated earlier, just some fun holes to play!!
Cons:
The park packed these 9 holes into as tight an area as possible. I was playing solo, but could see where multiple players could cross paths.
Other Thoughts:
Hanging in Chicago for a couple of work weeks, trying to play as many courses as possible. This was course #9 so far and like the others, did not disappoint.
Won't give a 9 hole course higher than a 3. This one gets a 3 in my book!!
