Pros:
Good for first-timers and beginners. Lots of open area, few trees, and mostly flat. Started d-golfing two months ago use this course a lot for practicing all throws. Very few other people use course, due to construction of new park area.
Cons:
New construction has caused the course to be shortened from 18 to 9. New park area has changed course. Holes are being moved and/or shortened. Course will return to 18 holes after construction is complete. If anyone is familiar with this course they will understand that no holes will be in the new park all holes, except tee for 15, will be in exsiting park. Holes 1 thru 10 will be on grass; tees will be on walkway or new concrete pads, still to be constructed. Holes 11 thru 18 tee (basket 18 on grass behind rec center) will be in unlandscaped park (can be tall weeds at times during the year), unless the county deciedes to grass area (would be nice).
Other Thoughts:
Can still play 3 thru 11. Play twice for full 18. Like this course to try new discs and no pressure game. After course is complete rating will go up. People who have used course in past or still use can visit and see floresent paint on grass and follow new course.
Course is coming together nicely. Tees on 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18 will be concrete pads. Talked to worker and he said sould be complete within 2 weeks.
