Unexpectedly Great 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 22, 2011 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This is a great course for such a small town not close to a large city. Like the two courses in Ingleside, there is very little traffic here. I played in a group of four and we saw a group of two the whole time we were playing. Good variety of holes.

Cons:

GRASS BURRS! Be careful when you set your bag down, and don't even think about picking up a towel if you drop it. These burrs are lethal. Hole 18 can be tough for a beginner like me: have someone watch your drive here so you don't lose a disc.

Other Thoughts:

This course is a little out of the way, but it is worth it. Combine this one with the two in Ingleside for a great weekend.

Pros:

Great long distance shots (have to be accurate to get par), many changes in elevation make this a very interesting course, the back nine has plenty of trees which helps cut back on the wind (the back nine has a hole (#14) locals call the "Four Horse Men," you have to throw in between four trees that are 4-5 feet apart from each other), the course runs along a creek which has water in only small sections, there are several great shots that cross the creek from each side. Overall this is a awesome course. Its definitely a course to come check out. Every hole is Par 3 making it a little challenging at first.

Cons:

The only cons I can think of which are part of most courses are the extra people at the park getting in the way of the course and the wind. The wind effects game play generally on the first nine in Beeville
