(0.814 Rating) A beginner friendly open niner that won't hook any players.
- COMMUNITY BOARD - On my walk to tee (1), I was already in the mindset of being disappointed. A friend of mine had played here and the report was not good. As I approached the first pad, I ran into a well-done community board. What a surprise. There was no course map on it, but there were tons of scorecards jammed into a mailbox and there were also several worthless 50-gram frisbees that people could borrow in an attached bin.
- QUICK PLAY - This is sadly the best aspect of the course. I bagged it in 22 minutes and was happy to get the heck out of here.
- BEGINNER FRIENDLY - This is mainly an obstacle free course with hole lengths under 200 feet. Many of the listed distances on the tee signs are 10 to 15 feet shorter according to Google Earth satellite data. Considering this aspect, the course will work fine for those with no concept of what this sport is.
- BASICS - The core equipment items were adequate for a beginner course. The baskets are Veterans and were in OK shape for my visit. The tees are concrete and measured 4 feet by 8 feet, which is all that is needed on 8 of the 9 holes. The tee signs are respectable in their aesthetic appeal, but they had evident minor errors.
- MAINTENANCE - The Waynesboro Sports Complex grounds were tidied up on my play. I didn't notice any excess trash and the fairways were in good shape. I'd bet that playing conditions are rarely worse than good.

Zero intrigue
- HORRIBLE HOLE QUALITY - To put it bluntly, the holes unequivocally suck here. I don't get any enjoyment out of open sub 150-foot plays and there are five of them here. Three of the remaining four holes are open as well and are in the 200-foot length range. The one average looking play is hole (6), which is a mid 300-foot throw with trees along the right the whole way.
- LACK OF CHALLENGE - I'll quickly put this aspect into perspective. Out of the 524 courses I've played as of this review, this is around the 10th easiest one I've played. Even 850 rated players will be bored by the nonexistent difficulty here.
- LAYOUT FLOW AND SPACING - This course is super jammed together. On tee (1), one can see six baskets, and none of them are farther than 400 feet away. Seven holes are located in a 1.5 acre space where as a typical course might only have two holes in a similar sized area. If there were ever a lot of people playing, (doubtful), the risk of hitting other players would be extremely great. In addition to the spacing concerns, there's a 400-foot flow gap between holes (5) and (6) and then again between (7) and (8). On hole (9) the tee sign indicates that basket (3) is to be played again which makes no sense as there is an additional ninth basket 40 feet off to the right side. Despite the layout issues, I had little issues navigating the course without a map.
- NATURAL BEAUTY - I went with 10 percentile. The maintenance of park and cut grass was the best aspect.

On the community board it says this track was sponsored by a grant from the Tennessee Health Department. Playing disc golf is a no-doubt way to keep people moving, but if the design doesn't induce any intrigue to play it, then the funds that went into it were wasted. I realize that this is not the greatest parcel of land to work with, but those that designed other nearby regional courses like Loretto or Brush Creek would have easily produced a solid 1.5 course here and maybe even a low 2.0. There is seriously no reason to ever play here and I wish I didn't know it existed so I wouldn't have been tempted to play it. Overall the gameplay here is a weak 0.5 course on my scales. I bumped it up to a 0.75 range due to the maintenance of the park, the ok navigation, and the adequate equipment items of tees, baskets and tee signs.
