Number 9, Number 9, Number….That's it? 2+ years

Pros:

This was a very fun 9-hole course. The elevation used here was perfect for a course this size. This may be a "beginner" type course, but judging the distances and elevation your first couple of times around will catch you off guard. This place has a creek and some beautiful terrain for such a small course. One of the holes had a basket on a ridge with a sloped, drop-off in front and behind the basket. It was a fun (slight) risk/reward type of hole. I must admit that the people I ran into out here were real friendly and did not mind helping me locate the holes at all.

Cons:

Finding the next hole was not too bad, but it certainly should have been simpler. I highly recommend that you take a map or ask for help. You do have to cross a street to get to 2 of the holes in the middle of the course, but it is not really that big of a deal. The distances from tee to pin were not overly challenging, but not super simple either.

Other Thoughts:

The Fun Factor here was really decent. This course had enough different looks to the holes that when the 9 holes were over I felt myself wishing there were a few more holes to play. For a quick 30 minute round and the fact that it is not too far from the highway, I highly recommend stopping to enjoy this little gem.

Pros:

This course is a birdiefest.

There is a creek that can be a factor on 7 holes. The creek is usually to your right or left so stable discs will keep you out of the water.

Hole #4 and #6 are blind right curves.

Hole #5 is super short (150' posted) but there is a steep drop-off just to the left of the basket. If you "run it" and miss, your disc will naturally fade down into the shallow creek.

Hole #7 is blind over a dam.

Hole #3 and #8 share the same tee pad on top of the dam.

It has some excellent signs if you don't mind distances in yards instead of feet. You can work on your math while playing.

Cons:

The crushed granite teepads aren't the greatest for traction, but better than dirt holes.

The ranges are very short. You can play the entire course with a Roc. Most locals play from longer alternate tees which have numbers painted on bricks and rocks in the ground.

All 9 holes are wide open. Some more trees would really take it this course to a "whole...nutha...leva".

Holes #5 and #6 are on the other side of Wells Branch Parkway which can get hard to cross when it's busy. Most people cross the street but you can go through a tunnel if you cross the creek after hole #4.

Other Thoughts:

Overall this is a great little course and is good for a quick disc golf fix. Alot of people play here during lunch hour every day with Dell, IBM, and Samsung all within minutes.
