The easy basic par 3 9 holer 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 21, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

A simple all par 3 course, good for stretching out the arm and try some new approaches. Decent Tees and okay baskets.

Cons:

Very simple and the signs say par 4 and sometimes 5. Its really all par 3.

Other Thoughts:

Careful on the single water shot. Very easy to over throw.

Is Your Fav Disc Swimming With The Fishes On # 5 ? 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 20, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Take away # 5 and this is just another typical little 9 hole city parks course. It does have the nice trapazoid shaped concrete tee pads. The baskets are DGA with the red numbers. The tee signs are the standard white plastic ones and surprise, none have been broken up yet, although # 2 is currently missing.
The pars listed are for elementary kids making this another course where you can rack up the eagles and the occasional double eagle like on the # 3, a 329' Par 5.

# 5 is the signature hole here but I think it is also the single most disc swallowing hole I've ever encountered in the 375 courses I've played. It's just a 243' touch shot through the trees down a very steep hill. But the basket sits 5 feet from shores of beautiful Pulaski Lake. Any run at the basket, any skip at all and splash! It's a very pretty hole but deadly. It's like the mysterious. beautiful, sexy Russian spy in all the James Bond movies. She's drawing you in. So alluring that you can't resist. Then one measly overthrow and your fav disc swims with the fishes in beautiful Pulaski Lake.

Cons:

On # 1 there are silly Out of Bounds signs that are 6 feet in front of the parks chain link fence along the right side of the fairway. Of all the courses that need OB signs, this is not the place. The chain link fence is OB enough.
Holes 7-8-9 are boring. All three are almost the exact length and the exact same throw just back and forth across the field.

Other Thoughts:

I guess I was lucky to miss the afore-mentioned high school punks. There was one shady looking guy parked nearby. Maybe he was looking for the high school punks? Maybe he was a high school punk?

It's a fun, little recreational park course with one very interesting disc drinking hole and maybe some high school punks thrown in for good measure and with beautiful Pulaski Lake views for those interested in that sort of things.

West P 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 10, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Easy course for beginners to learn on. The Longest hole (3) is 323 ft. and only holes 3 and 5 present chances of losing a disc. Hole 5 is down a steep hill with the basket about 15 ft. in front of the lake at the bottom with trees guarding both sides. Can be shot with a putter straight down, a big floating anhyzer (or hyzer for leftys), a huge skyzer way out to the right over the trees, or a tommy right over the top. Every hole is an ace opportunity for a skilled player.

Cons:

Too easy. Too short. Not a huge variety of shots. The only challenge for a very good player is to try to birdie every hole.

Other Thoughts:

This is my home course I've probably played 1000+ rounds here over the last 5 years. Not worth driving more than 20 mins to play and that's only for the novelty of playing a new course. Solid 9 holer for a quick round but doesn't offer anything special. Also, don't go during spring between 230-6 unless u wanna deal with all the high school punks.

Meh.... 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 3, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Wide open.
Decent challenge on the first 4 holes.
Not a real challenge of distance.
Decent signage.
I like the drive on 6 through the trees.
Nice tees

Cons:

Poor layout.
Hill is terribly steep.

Other Thoughts:

I really hated the layout. Especially holes 3, 5, and 6. I found myself walking up and down the hills trying to find these cement pads.
