Pros:
While wedged into a small park, all the elevation in the park makes this course anything but boring. The drop off behind the baskets of 1 and 6, uphills on 2, 3 and 8, the valley that is hole 5, and the mountain that is hole 9 will leave you satisfied even though the holes are so short.
Landing zones are more important than ever here, especially when every hole could be a birdie for even an intermediate player. You must land to the right of the basket on 1 or you'll be flying down a steep hill, hitting the other side of the valley at the right height on hole 5 is essential to a birdie, hole 6 has the basket on a small rise which extends about 15ft on the front and back side of the pin, and hole 8 is similar to hole 5 in hitting the hill correctly.
Tee signs showing each hole's distance, a generously sized concrete tee pad and a shiny new Veteran basket on each hole are nice amenities I hope don't get damaged. Speaking of amenities, the course manages to stay out of the way of the picnic shelter, playground, and tennis/futsal courts.
Even hole 7 - which is basically flat - keeps things interesting by setting the basket directly behind a tree.
Cons:
No parking lot. Street parking is your only option. Along with this, holes 3, 5, 6, and 8 play extremely close to roads. The forehand player will risk a bad throw going into the road on the latter three (the guardrail saved my horrible flick on hole 5).
Hole 4 is the only bad hole on the course. Slightly downhill, 192ft, and no OB threats, it's an all-day ace run and an easy birdie for anyone that can hit a putt.
Close to (but not directly in) a rougher area of town, which is why I said I hope the amenities last.
Other Thoughts:
Yes, the holes are extremely short, so a -9 or even -10 isn't impossible especially with holes 5 and 8 being forgiving to ace runs. Up to you if that's a pro or a con.
Getting a course this good out of a plot of land this small is a feat. It's not the most incredible place in the world, but it's more difficult than the distances (191.6ft average) make it sound. Worth a stop if you're in the area, and for baggers this will cost you all of 20 minutes to play.
