Busy park for non-disc activities as well, people can be dangerously oblivious. Because of the path the course weaves around it is hard to say this is a good learning course. The risk of hitting someone is high.

Very short holes, most under 300 feet.
Often crowded with few places to sit, and often a long line at hole 1.
Very slow play in most times due to relative skill level of most of the people in the park. Have spent an hour and a half playing 9 holes on a short course before.
Very poor drainage making the park mostly unplayable in late fall/winter/early spring.
Most shots are park and Putt resulting in mostly birdies.

This is the only course in Eugene aside from Alton Baker which is pay to play.

Westmoreland is the only disc golf course in the City of Eugene. It is well loved and has been since 1988. Unfortunately the park is so small that a re-design to keep up with modern players and equipment is not possible. All of the holes are short and there are not enough design elements in the park to make the course all that interesting. It is truly a pitch and putt course and a great place to practice your short game. Poor drainage over a large part of the course make it very unpleasant in rainy periods, some teepads actually under water, and a LOT of mud.

Because of the lack of courses in Eugene and the beginner friendly nature of this course it suffers from overcrowding and overuse. The course plays at, along and over a walking jogging path, and a sidewalk and busy road are also in danger of being in play. With both of these things being said it's pretty amazing that there aren't more conflicts and dangerous situations. For the most part, common sense and safety prevail. Westmoreland is sort of stuck in the past and a little over-loved. Not a destination course, but good for beginners looking for a course in town.

Westmoreland is a course designed for newer players in mind at least that is what it has become. Originally put in the ground in 1988, I can image this course was a little harder throwing Aviars and XD's unfortunately disc technology has made this course closer to a pitch and putt. Still there is some fun little throws and no glaring design flaws holding it back too much. The course plays around an open field closer to the trees and has some entertaining shots. Hole one is an easy yet fun tunnel shot with a giant road sign style mandatory sign, pretty funny actually. This is also one of the only courses that has a practice basket and the around nine game metal plate on the top and several standing areas for the game, very neat! Also there are multiple pins that mix it up for frequent players.

No major flaws other than being short and not challenging. I did have a major problem with all of the garbage and vandalism found all over the course, it just looks as though there isn't a local club looking after it very well or at all. Holes six and seven has uneven tee pads, six was slanting uphill and seven was slanting downhill.

I was playing at about noon on a Thursday and the course was already packed with people, kind of crazy, can't imagine what a beautiful Summer Saturday would look like! This isn't a must play and is actually pretty vanilla but it is a short course perfect for travelers looking to stretch theirs legs or course baggers like myself as you can get a fairly quick nine that isn't too bad.

Short, par-3 course that's great for beginners or people who want to work on their short game. Nice, roomy, concrete teepads and baskets with varied pin locations. Everything is well marked and signage seems to be pretty accurate.

During the off-season it becomes very marshy. The course also isn't manicured very well or often so when the nice weather rolls in, grass lengths can be up to 4 feet in some areas which makes it difficult to locate discs. This does tend to improve as the season goes on.

There is an ever-increasing number of players in the area and it's reflected by large wait-times at the course. Often times there is a 5-10 minute wait in between drives during peak times.

Because it's a beginner-friendly course, many players are unaware of common etiquette. I've had a couple discs picked up and stolen literally in front of my eyes. The most recent time I played here I was struck on the top of the head with a distance driver with no warning.

Also, because trees are fairly sparse it gets moderately windy a lot of the time.

Good course to begin on. Very open and hard to lose a disc. Friendly locals. Easy to navigate. Centrally located. And most of all fairly clean.

Almost too easy of a course. Hardly any challenges. No water, no elevation changes, and few trees. Course was crowded in the afternoon. Only 9 holes to choose from, and pedestrians seem to be oblivious to the fact that they're in a fairway. Not a scenic course either.

Good course to practice on. Wouldn't want to partake in a tourney here. Good to go out and throw a few discs at a basket but that's about it.
