Pros:
+Nice tee signs
+Nice baskets
+Beautifully mowed fairways. Course is nicely manicured.
+Very easy to follow course
+Can't lose a disc here
+Lots of ace runs
+Some elevation to keep things interesting.
+One of the holes is blind because it is over a hill.
+The Westport house is really nice and would be a great place to stay. Westport was a really fun place to visit. Lots of things to do on the House grounds and in the town.
Cons:
-No real obstacles. There are a few trees but not many. Easy to work around any of them.
-Very short and most holes are pretty similar in length. This would be a good course to play with just putters or even with a Ultimate style lid.
-The tees are natural. The course doesn't seem to have seen a lot of use yet, and maybe it won't. Natural tees can get rutted and bad but maybe on this short course, they will be fine.
-If you are not staying here or doing other things, the cost really isn't worth it. That being said, I showed up early in the morning in November and didn't pay. There really wasn't anywhere that I could see to pay. An employee/security drove past a few times and didn't stop to say anything.
Other Thoughts:
+This place has more land that they could dedicate to a true woods style disc golf course if they wanted to. They are probably more aiming at the very recreational family players that stay at the house.
+Overall, despite the length, this course did have a high fun factor for me. Pick one shorter range disc and go for some aces. Play 2 rounds in half an hour.
