Other Thoughts:

This course is set in the midst of the hills of Watamula at the Nort-West end of Curaçao, with only minimal changes made to the natural environment - the only things that have been added are wooden poles indicating the tee area, hole number, and direction to the target; and of course the home-made target baskets. The tee areas are raked, not all of them are very smooth or absolutely even.

Obstacles on the way to the targets are mainly thorny bushes (bring a broom stick with a hook to have it easier to get discs out of there if necessary), and one or the other big cactus. Another challenge playing the course are mostly fairly strong and sometimes gusty winds. And of course the omnipresent little rocks and branches that make bounces and rolls of discs pretty unpredictable.

Since the course goes up and down the hills, into and with the wind, every one of the 9 holes requires to be played in a different way. If you play all holes backwards again after finishing the first round you can get quite a good workout. Remember to bring good shoes because the terrain is pretty rugged and uneven. This often makes it challenging to get a good foothold for your next throw depending on where your disc lands.

In summary the course is naturally beautiful, and features enough challenges to keep it interesting to play for many rounds, at least for a beginner such as I am. I started regularly practicing disc golf on this course 2 weeks ago, and probably have spent a total of around 15 hours on it, with many more to come. It is the only course I've ever seen, so I cannot really compare it to others. But I really enjoy being out there!
