Pros:

This course is set up around the outskirts of the school grounds. There are no defined tee areas or signs. It basically plays from basket to basket. The baskets here are all DISCatchers that are all brand new and catch great. The flow of the course is actually pretty easy to follow once you find hole 1, which btw is by the baseball diamond on the south side of the school. The course is mostly open with basically just wind being your main obstacle. Hole 7, I believe it was, is the standout here It's a tight but short tunnel shot. The rest is basically open playing around ball diamonds and playground equipment. The course is free to play and the baskets are up year round apparently.

Cons:

With it being a school course it is not playable during school hours. The course is pretty bland in general. It's a nice place to work on form or whatnot but not the most exciting course you'll see by far. There are a few longer walks between holes but with the map on DGCR it's pretty easy to follow.

Other Thoughts:

This course is excellent for beginners or newer players but has little appeal for more experienced players. This should be expected from an elementary course though. Not worth any kind of trip out of your way for sure, but I've seen way worse as well. It is the definition of reasonable which is a 2, and that's what I'm giving it. For us this was a really nice warm up course before heading over to silver fox only a few minutes away.

Pros:

The course has 9 nice baskets.

Hole 7 is a fun little down hill tunnel shot.

There are some large fields near the baskets for field work.

There might be some nice safari holes if you got creative.

There probably won't be many disc golfers here so it should never be crowded.

There is a playground if you have little kids.

There's even a port-o-pot in the middle of hole 1's fairway if you need to relieve yourself.

Cons:

There are no tee pads or any tee signs to let you know where to throw from.

I assume they didn't bring in a course designer. The land isn't the greatest but I think a good course designer could have done a better job of making a fun course that is also safe.

Course plays very close to other activities at the school which could interfere with your round. Hole 4 will have most players throwing at or over the playground. Other holes have you throw near or even over baseball fields. For hole 7 the tunnel you have to throw down is a walking path.

Hole 9's basket is only feet away from the school so a bad throw could end up on the roof.

Other Thoughts:

The biggest problem with this course is that it isn't fun to play. It doesn't really have much to offer other than hole 7. It's pretty much 6 wide open holes, two hyzers, and a tunnel(hole 7.) I can't see people playing this course too often other than kids who go to school there, but I don't think they would be able to play at recess or before school because the course is so close too other activities.

For course baggers this is a quick and easy course that is on the way to other courses. I would recommend checking out the map to make finding the baskets easier.

If you aren't a course bagger I would recommend skipping this course and heading straight to Grey Fox or Silver Fox in Silver Lake, WI.

For a rating I am giving this course a 0.5 because it is only half a course. If they added tee pads or tee signs I would probably bump that up to 1.0.
