Pros:
- Great mix of holes to make you bring a lot of different tee shots to the table. 2/3rds of the course or so is open and a stretch of holes in the back 9 are wooded.
- Good tees and baskets I don't know the brand of but seem really chunky and solid.
- Couple of par 4s which are pretty rare in the area (but the tee signs don't tell you the pars iirc so hole 16 in particular is a bit confusing)
- Easy to follow layout
- Close to the highway and easy to find even though on the course you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere.
Cons:
- Make sure you watch where your shots land, especially the shanks. The majority of the course looks open but the rough can really swallow discs. (I've even almost lost one down a hole in the ground )
- Definitely need to check for ticks when you come here as well as keep an eye out for bees.
- Not really a con, but most times I've played here it gets very windy. It can get a bit frustrating especially for beginners.
- The course in general is a bit rough around the edges. It gives me the impression its still being worked on.
Other Thoughts:
I wouldn't take beginners here, but imo as long as you have a controllable 250ft or so, I don't think you'll have any problems. It strikes a good balance between difficult for me to score on but also wouldn't be boring for a pro imo.
