Pros:

Quality baskets, good signage, course map, easy to follow flow, good tee boxes, easy to tell where you are throwing, easy to play for the first time without a map. Fun subtle elevation changes. Fairways are well designed with what the designer had to work with. Love the elevated basket on hole 8.

Cons:

No major negatives other than the land that it is on is limited and trees to work with to create challenging holes are limited. The only challenge on this course is the distance on some of the holes. Only 9 holes makes for a quick round.

I was expecting a well maintained course from other reviews but the grass was pretty tall and completely took away any and all skips, which takes away a major factor of the game that I am used to.

Other Thoughts:

Good course for what was available to design a course with.

Pros:

Great Concrete Tees
Awesome Teesigns (with Next Tee arrows)
Nice Discatchers (Band was purple for school colors)
Big Next Tee Signs where needed
Parking right next to #1 Tee and #9 Basket
Well Mowed/kept (clean)

Good Distance Variety (230ft-650ft)
Great use of land available
Good elevation change (love #1 Top of the World)
Decent elevation variety (up/down/flat/sloping greens)
Good Use of what obstacles they have (#6 basket on a rock ++)
A few forced lines
A couple of Ace Runs

Favorite Hole(s): #1, #7

Cons:

Few or no Trashcans (carry in/carry out, its not that hard people)
Very few lines to hit, mostly just throw however you like
Almost no risk/reward
Seemed a little repetetive

Other Thoughts:

All in all this is a "Good" course. A fun stop while in Abilene. I wouldn't travel out of my way very far just to hit this course. Worth playing if you are in Abilene for other business or for a full day of disc golf. Play all of the Abilene courses for some great variety.

This course was hard to rate. While it was a nice surprise for a Campus 9-holer to have this length, there just isn't much other challenge. I think this course has 2.5 disc, Disc Golf. It also has 4.5 disc amenities. Since my "disc rating" is weighted very heavily to challenge and fun factor I only bumped it up a 1/2 disc for the absolutely great signage/tees/baskets.

They really did a nice job with the land they have. Play it if you are in the area.

Decent Course 2+ years drive by

Pros:

- Fantastic Tee Signs
- Kinda Woody
- Good Course Positioning in Land
- Has a couple of fun holes
- Concrete Tees

Cons:

- 9 holes
- On edge of bad part of town
- Gopher Holes "WATCH OUT"

Other Thoughts:

Not a bad course. Could be dolled up a bit with flowers or a small water hazard. 6 is on a large boulder which was fun. Hole 1 starts within 40 feet of hole 9's end. The hills are fun to play around. I wouldn't travel for this one but if your in Abilene, it's worth a quick throw through.
