There is an option for recreational level players to tee from the Red (drop zone) tee to the right of the mando. It allows a stroke difference if you're playing with family and want to 'handicap'.
The Mando tree on the left is about 130' forward, a 60-90 degree left-hand turn, and about 130' downhill to the pin. For rhbh throwers, a hyzer around the mando is safe enough, but usually will leave a challenging putt. If you've really practiced your rollers (I mean REALLY practiced them), I've seen a couple of Open level players make their trained discs turn on command and go down pretty close to the basket.
