Play the park 9 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 11, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

1) Signs for each hole.

2) Hole numbers on the corners of teepads.

3) Good size teepads.

4) For beginners, longer holes are given higher pars. 465 foot hole is a par 5. This can reduce frustration that beginners feel when they first start.

5) Nice layout in a nice neighborhood.

6) Nice mix of long, medium and short holes.

7) Challenging for all levels.

8) Bathroom on the park side of course.

9) Plenty of trees to help on even the hottest days.

Cons:

1) Baskets 4, 6, 7, 8 missing. Maybe more but after hole 8, I went back to the park to play the remaining holes.

Other Thoughts:

After playing Sherwood Forest and Vinsonhaler Park and spending all that time on the 99 going north and the I-5 going south, I was ready to tackle this course and potentially get my highest score to date on an 18+ hole course, especially with the par 4's and 5's on this course that could be reached for Eagle tries. It began well with a 90 foot hole with the basket behind a tree and a birdie. 2 and 3 were no different, challenging but still looking to score. The disappointment happened on hole 4 and continued all the way through to hole 8. All but hole 5 was missing baskets, ruining the end of my disc golf road trip. Until those baskets get replaced, this course will get a 2.0 rating from me (9 hole park course). I would give it 2.25 for potential but a 2.0, it is. This could be a 3.5+ park with those missing baskets.
