tight fairways 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 23, 2012 Played the course:once

Pros:

baskets in good shape, well mowed fairways

Cons:

narrow fairways somtimes ten feet wide with brush, trees and drainage ditch complete with rocks and brush nearby
only four holes
very easy to lose disc
confusing navigation from hole 2 to 3

Other Thoughts:

not a good course for begineers
good course for people who like short holes with narrow fairways very limited land to work with and designer did not do a bad job with what he/she had to work with

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 7, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice baskets
Not busy

Cons:

only 4 holes, all of which are short.

Other Thoughts:

As others have mentioned this is a good spot to introduce a kid to disc golf, perhaps a girlfriend, or another person that may not want to play a full course.
You can also use it to work on your midrange game, or experiment with some shots you may not want to bring out in a real round (roller, flick, tommy, etc.). Don't feel any need to play this course other than practice.

4 holes are better than none! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 23, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

It is a huge park that seems to have tried to satisfy the need of every person in the King of Prussia area.. there seems to be every recreational activity catered to in some manner..including disc golf. The course is isolated from other park activities, thankfully. It is just 4 tiny holes with no elevation, but at least it exists. If your sick of following your wife or girlfriend around at the 2nd biggest mall complex in America, King of Prussia Mall is enormous....excuse yourself and go throw a little. Perfect place for one of the thousands of local workers to go during lunch or after to work on or brush up on their game. The 4 holes are all fairly short but are well maintained and cared for. A lot of the underbrush and shule has been removed so losing a disc is much more difficult than before. It is not a lot of fun to create a course in the middle of a picker patch....I think the locals are doing a fine job! There are a slight righty anhyzer, 2 straightaway shots and a nice Righty Hyzer Hole. Great place to try for that elusive ace. Only place you might break 10 for your final score! You can get there from the turnpike in 3 minutes, so play, use the bathroom and be on your way within 15 minutes!

Cons:

Obviously, it is only 4 holes and the holes are short and unremarkable. In no way is this destination disc golf. It is a bit hard to find the course within the park itself...it's a huge community park..but best bet is to park near the basketball courts then wander beyond the little playground behind the pavillion. No tees, just slippery grass or mud. Not a lot of info available either. I wonder if anyone goes here and plays the first 4 and then wanders looking for the rest of the "18" haha!

Other Thoughts:

Apparently if you go on the course website there is a safari type layout that allows for 9 holes to be played from 4 baskets...interesting I wish I knew that when I was there. I talked to the course designer on the telephone back when he was hopeful he would be able to utilize a more expansive parcel of land with hills and woods and open fields to build a nice 18 holer.. He disappointedly then told me then that all he got was this little patch in the middle of an already developed park. I give him credit for not giving up on the dream and for being stubborn enough to stick with it. He seems to be making the best of what he was given....I also noticed what appeared to be a possible expansion of fairway beyond hole #3 or perhaps it is a new hole altogether....Would be cool if the course could expand to 9 then more players would play and perhaps maybe the powers that be would understand the passion of disc golf and allow that initial 18 holer on the prime land!
