Could not find a thread for the Aviar so here it is. What kind do you throw, how long you been throwing, whatever. And please post some pics.

I prefer all types of Aviars (BB, SB and Beadless). I have been tossing them since I started playing and I like to putt with the BBs (preferably 10x or 11 KC) and I like to approach with a SB or Beadless (CE or Champ). I only carry 12 discs and half of them are Aviars.

I would rate them the best there is!

Jmitch dont fuel this thread.

Challengers > Aviars.

Too bad there is not a small bead challenger though. Like a disc in between the APX and the Challenger.

Max weight KC Pro's for me please. I also like the Yeti Pro's but the plastic beats up way too fast. The JK's were too soft for my liking.

lol
I was going to say the same about feeding it

now about them Challs...small bead?
coming from a (former)Ringer thrower I thought the bead on the Chall was already small

I am not trying to find an answer to a question or anything, just discuss the disc. I tried searching using the word AVIAR, but did not find a thread just for discussion.

KC Pro plastic is hard to beat. Mine is starting to get beaten in a little, and it feels amazing.

The Challengers I have tossed are somewhere between a SB and BB Aviar. The Ringer has a much bigger bead (FYI I am still waiting on mine).

Both of you have a good point the bead is definitely smaller than a BB but is still bigger than the SB.

In other words its a perfect blend of 2 great aviars = CHALLENGER > aviar

I am thinking about trying some APX's out soon though for longer straight putts. Like 45' and out when I want to loft a high jump putt that will go straight with out fading.

Anyways. my mom loves old san marino 150 dx aviars.
Pm me if you have any you want to let go of.

So what you're saying is you want this to be the official 'praise the aviar thread'?

KC Pros are the best off the tee in my experience. I gotta get a yeti though. I'd also suggest staying away from r-pros, I'm not a fan.

Dave, you wouldn't happen to have any Cam Todds since you are a Challenger Lover?

I would totally agree with you that if you want something in between the SB and BB Aviar the Challenger is your disc but I just like those BBs.

I'm hooked on the 11x champion aviars. I love the way they break in and they are an amazing approach disc as well. I just can't get enough of them, its the disc I've bought the most of this year.
