Multiple putter molds?

I don't understand why you would need more than 1 mold. If you know how to work the disc you have why would need more than 1. Most of the top pro's in my area only carry one mold for putting and just disc down for drives. That is what I am learning. I maybe able to throw my Ion 300' but why not just disc down and throw a midrange instead. You can save a lot more energy in the end. I can throw my ions, fh, bh, hyzer and anhyzer, what eles do you need?

I see what you're saying but most people also say throw the slowest disc possible to reach the target. Personally, I'm much more accurate cranking on an Ion than trying to power down the Buzzz to 75%.

Two molds for me. I carry the Pure for my main putter it handles putting approaches and drives. I also carry the Rattler becouse its the Rattler.

I typically carry two magics, an aviar, and a rhyno.
Each one has its purpose...the magics hit the chains....the other two come off the tee pad and get me to the circle.

I carry two "putters" but only use my Zones in a midrange capacity. My Wizards handle everything that I would consider a putt. Remember that it's the archer not the arrow.

I think not having a moderately overstable putter in the bag is a giant gaping void that needs to be filled. So if you throw something neutral to understable it makes since to throw a Pig/Zone/Jokeri/Rhyno in the bag.

I carry 2...banger gt for putts and short upshots...ringer for drives

Even as a push putter you could try adding a little extra finger spring and seeing if that helps. Also try a flat release if you use a hyzer release, might help out.

Interesting, don't think I have much finger spring now.

I carry

2 SSS 174g Magic (all putts)
1 175g Pro Pig (driving putter for windy conditions and forehand utility)
1 175 Med Ion (everything else, driver, super windy putter, ect)

It's not a bad idea to carry more than one putter mold but make sure you have a purpose for them and a reason to keep all the molds. I use the Pig about once every 18 holes and the Ion about eight times for 18 holes as well.

4X JK Pro Aviar-X for most putts.
SSS Wizard for longer anny putts.
Pro Pig for longer hyzer putts and those "fish hook" short approaches.

Also an XD and KC Pro Aviar in the bag but they're more used for short approaches and ace run holes under 200'

I rock multiple Challengers and also the new Discraft Zeppelin - so 2 putter molds for me.

I'm a push putter as well and I know Mike C hates it when I say this - but the Ion isn't a good option fo the type of putt you're talking about (push with low spin). That said, I fully believe in "degrees" between "push/lob/pitch" putting and "spin" putting so you could try to add spin to your putts OR find a mold that suits you better - both options are equally viable. I think the Ion is a great disc, just not for the kind of putting that you (and I) do.

Anyone carry two or more putter molds in the bag?

I carry a putting putter and a driving putter. The driving putter is an Aero and is also used for a control disc as well as an approach disc. I'll sometimes play a round using just my Aero.

3
White Pro Rhyno for putting and straight drives up to 225'
Blue Pro Rhyno for approaches that need to stick
1st Run Wedge for understable mid duties
ESP Zone for overstable mid duties

That's probably your problem. Ion and finger spring is like peanut butter and jelly.

That being said, I drive/approach/forehand Ions and putt exclusively with Summits.
