[MVP] MVP Anode Putter

Today I picked up some more Anodes for testing and putting practice. I got dark blue, UV blue, green, and red, all 174-175 (these glide so much that I've found the heavier ones easier to range). The colors are incredibly consistent in feel and flight. I'll have to verify with more throwing, but it seemed like the dark blue was the most stable, and the UV were slightly straighter, with the reds and green in the middle.

I was driving the soft Anodes in pretty strong winds and they performed beautifully. The one situation I found hardest was keeping them flying flat with a right to left crosswind...They just wanted to start hyzering early and pulling to the left. They were still landing withing 25' of where I wanted to be, but I would have liked ONE to be closer when I was throwing 6. I just couldn't make myself throw with a little anny as there was water on the right.

Try a hard, snappy throw, aimed low (If the line allows it). Putters get knocked around by the wind a lot, so I found giving it more spin than I normally would for a given distance helps keep it on the line.

Also if you could post pictures of the blues that would be cool. I plan to grab a few whenever finances allow. Saving up for a new place so might be a while, heh.

Not very soft. The middle plastic is much softer than the overmold on the soft Anodes/Ions.

So I finally got a soft anode...

putts like a dream. I was worried that the extra stability being reported would make me not want to putt with it, but it doesn't translate. Clean putt = dead straight no fade. YAY!!!

I wish it was a little softer. My soft ions are noticeably softer than the soft anodes. In the summer I may be thankful for that, but in the winter they firm up a little too much for me.

I still wish the shoulder was a little lower profile. Anyone have any success flattening out an ion/anode shoulder? I tried flattening a soft ion but the shoulder didn't budge while the flight plate sagged into a puddle top. I steeped the disc in 180 degree water for 20 minutes and placed a pie tin with a ton of weight on top.

Lost a Proton Anode yesterday in a swollen creek. :(

Luckily got two softs in the mail today to make up for it. I wish these were a little bit softer. In the cold weather they seem to really stiffen up and feel very similar to the Proton plastic.

Doesn't MVP want to call "medium" discs "proton" and "soft" discs "soft proton"? Thats what I was saying. I may be wrong though.

Yeah, but it's kind of hard to talk about like that..I've been calling the stiffer variety regs to differentiate from the softs because it sounds strange not using some descriptive phrase denoting stiffness.

My anode was sinking putts and nailing shots that I usually can't make today.. It has been placed next to the Wizard as my all time favorite putter!! Thank you MVP!!
