How do you rank all the practice/portable baskets out there?

I am going to buy one so i can work my putting an hour a day.

Portability is a secondary concern.

Seems flimsy. I was thinking the less portable ones that look like real baskets.

Like I said portability isnt a big point for me. Its not gonna move much.

If i had 400$ id buy a real basket lol

What are you looking for? Something that is as close to a professional permanent basket? Is there a budget you have in mind?

Discnation's Liberty and Freedom baskets are great choices.

Then just buy a real basket :p

I promise you though, this one is not flimsy at all. It just looks like **** because this is the netted version and not the chain version.

But by all means feel free to go with a real one :D

This is by far my favorite:

The fact I own it might have a reason behind that :p

This version in the pic has netting around it but the new version is just chains. I absolutely love it. It is light and easy to move around and its a great size.

^Worst basket i've used... Go with the innova skill shot. Much better and great portability. I had one and sold it for $85, but only because I prefer a metal basket.

I prefer this basket when I need to move the basket a lot. It catches just fine and is light weight. I have other baskets if the basket is going to stay in one place. I would not recommend the Innova SkillShot, since the Innova Traveller is a better basket around the same price. the Skill Shot frayed and wore out faster. I have 4 practice baskets and it is my least favorite.
A lot of people like the Instep baskets because they are super cheap, but the chains are spread far apart, I only liked it when I saw someone who tightened the chains by fixing them up to the top of the basket.

Gateway Titan Portable is the way to go if you want a mostly-permanent practice basket. It also wasn't really on the market when Prerube made his portable basket thread. I think it's ~$300.

There is also nothing wrong with the Innova Traveler. It's a great catcher and easy to take with you. It'll hold up to a fair amount of abuse too. I have a Ching Chainmaster (not Lite), and it's a pain to take apart and move everywhere. It also takes up a ton of room in the trunk. I'm looking for a cheap Traveler or Mach Lite to keep in the car.

My believe my thread was for baskets under $200, so it did not make the list. I need to add the disc nation Freedom basket

Good point. I guess the Bullseye would fit better into your thread then unless he's raised its price.

Got the disc nation freedom basket and it's a great basket for a great price ($219 and free shipping from disc golf america an offshoot of disc nation) all metal, easy to assemble(4 bolts to tighten down), if your looking for a semi-portable its a great way to go. Catches pretty darn well for only being a 16 chain basket

Innova DISCatcher Sport

I have this basket and think it's great. It is portable, but it doesn't fold up in a couple of seconds like some others. You just need a screwdriver for the 5 screws that keep it together. It's pretty easy and it fits in the trunk of my car if I need to take it anywhere. Since it's not gonna move much this seems like a good option for you. It can be found for less than $200 with free shipping on some sites.

I got an instep last year, and like it alot. I went down to the local hardware store and bought some zip ties and some plastic chains. For a few dollars I added an inside ring of chains.

I prefer the sportcatcher. Closest to a full basket and great price point.
