1100+ rounds

Alright, time to end the flame war... Basically, no, ratings aren't inflating. Players are perfecting their craft. Obviously, no one will be shooting a 72 for a 4 round tourney any time soon, so there is always room to improve. As the players improve their games, their ratings will go up, just like for you and me. McBeth, Feldberg, Climo, Doss, and Jenkins all have days where they don't play the best round of their lives. They have to go back out and try to throw their best the next time out, and make it better. I guarantee you that Dave and Paul are not going to say, "Ok, I had an 1100+ round. I have arrived. Everybody look at me. I am the ultimate cause I got an 1100+..." No, they are going to be excited and excited to go out and try to throw some plastic pancakes at metal thingys tomorrow.

Let the haters hate but I can't wait to watch the finals on Saturday. These aren't the hardest or sickest courses in the world, but who cares when your putter never hits the grass.

Longest hole on that layout is 669' and on flat ground. Not a par 4!

So go make us all a video of you easily making three on that hole so you can back up your claim. Until then just stop with your drivel. I regularly play a 591ft par 4. A teeshot of over 350 will have you in trouble and if you get it in three you earned it. It's called good course design.

From what hear most top pro's can throw 450+, that leaves an upshot of 229, an easy putter stand and deliver = par3. 669' hole on flat ground = fail

Par gives you two putts,

are you trolling everyone or just not informed?

Noodle armed amateur here. Why is being able to shoot par 3 on a 669' hole a bad thing? A birdie is a job well done. So you drop a shot and are under par. 3 is good clean play. 4 means you screwed something up. Sounds correct to me. But as I said, I am a noodle armed am. What am I missing? I be dumb.

Par is determined by a Pro reaching the circle in X number of shots, and then adding 2 strokes for putting. So yes, the scenario listed above is a par 4.

Giles, to answer your question, you already have :D

I almost took a 4 on a 650' hole my last tourney. I would have been ecstatic. It's about 300ish to get past the trees, and another 350ish open to the basket.

Not sure if you asked this not seeing my first answer but.

Par 3 gives you one shot to get to the basket and two putts to finish. If McBeth has no change of an ace, it is a par 4.
