Non Stop Disc Golf Updates

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Non-Stop-Disc-Golf/269283149811914?ref=ts

Anybody who is interested in keeping up to date with our tour, we would appreciate it if you would like and share our page! We just got done showing a school demonstration down in Taos, NM and talked with their Sports Alliance about getting Disc Golf more involved with their schools and communities. We will be posting pictures on our facebook page and nonstopdiscgolf.com

Thanks!

The folks in Taos love their disc golf. They've been watching Disc Golf Live on local TV there for years. Great to have your crew stopping by for some demos.

Others who want to see some DG on TV on their local community station, drop me a note and I can help you make arrangements. DGL is all about growing awareness of our game, one community at a time.

As an aside, Will's story was a nice read. He's got a good head on his shoulders. Somebody needs to let him know about paragraphs, however. A few breaks make things much easier to read.

Nikko, if you guys can put together some video stories while you're on the road, I'd be happy to help you share them with the disc golfing community through Disc Golf Live video magazine. I'm thinking a "Life on the Road" series, not necessarily on the course action but a take on how it is to enjoy life from town to town.

Take care,

Joe

This tour thing is awesome. Can't wait to see these guys in St Louis for the 7th annual St Louis Open where Nikko is the defending champ. Tourney to be held may 5th and 6th.

Whether they split it or not, they still have the same gross income between the four of them. My previous post asked if they might not do better, in total, if they split up for smaller events?

Possibly but the ligistics might be difficult.

...and if crews didn't split winnings, you wouldn't have any women on tour full time.

Anyone know what actually happened to Cale? I heard during the livestream that he messed up his knee pretty bad but didn't hear anything more on it.

/\ That's great news! Dave Greenwell announced at one point that he blew out his ACL on the teepad, but then we never heard anything more on it. Hopefully it's just a strain and nothing serious.

I heard Will karate kicked Cale in the knee. Will isn't a very friendly guy. I played with him in Vegas. He threatened me. If I weren't afraid for my safety I probably would have reported him to the TD.

Well looks like I will be seeing you in Tulsa, OK!

Also it looks like you are going from TX to OK then back to TX, I manage a hotel that is about half way between that if you guys are looking for a place to stay cheap. It is a hotel attached to a large casino.

Sweet! I'll be back in USA and get to meet them when they come to IL! Woohoo!

Thanks to Dave, Cale, Nikko, and Will for a very fun event. Excellent payout, excellent instruction, and an overall great time. Thanks for choosing to come to New Mexico for your first event. It was a pleasure to both compete with and learn from you all.
To the rest of you around the country, please support the NSDG tour and attend their events in your area. They are doing great things for our sport and I highly encourage all players to attend. Thanks again and hopefully you come back next year!!

So, someone going to update the course page for the redesign on that Taos course? If they completely changed it contact TimG and he will close the page so another new one can be started.

The course is not even on DGCR at all last time I checked. It is called the Taos Roc Pit. The only course in the area that is on DGCR is the one at Taos Ski Valley. It is on the PDGA course directory though.

As far as the redesign, it was something Feldberg did for the tournament to improve flow/safety issues for tournament play.

I added the course based on the info from the PDGA site, if there's anything on there that has changed, or you have more pictures it would be great to have more current info. Here's the link to the course page.

Dave Smith would be the guy to contact for that. His info is on the pdga page. There were tons of pictures taken this weekend so i'm sure there will be many more to add.
