What are some unique "nice little touches" to add to a course?

my home course has red dyed concrete for the long tees

sculptures

We have some cool metal sculptures hanging in a few trees out here in the Southern Oregon Willamette Valley. Dexter has a metal moon hanging above a basket, it is really cool and definitely a signature look.

we are fixing to make an elevated "green" on one of our shorter holes that the park cut down two mature trees guarding the basket. It will be about 60 feet long and 30 foot wide rectangle with a slope in the front and back and a drop off on the sides (maximum about 4 feet). the sides will be landscaping stones. should be a sweet touch when we get to it.

These have held up well at this public course for about a year now.. All of the holes still have a broom, but a few have been 'reduced in length'.

Windage flags on the basket.

On holes with mutiple pin locations for 1 basket, a map at the tee pad that indicates hole location with an inserted pin or by moving a tag.

Pvc poker sticks next to trees and bushes that have a good chance of snagging your disc.

Lost and found drop box.

Signs indicating direction to next pad.

I like this list..

Warning signs in multi use parks. To many people are not sure what the guys throwing Frisbees at the weird BBQ pits are doing....

The Taylor Park Sand Slugs in Largo, FL have decked out their course with all sorts of little details. They have a broom for every teepad AND a foot brush to brush the bottoms of your shoes off on. They also have bag hangers at every hole along with nice benches and trash cans.

Also, on a blind basket, instead of yelling "CLEAR!!" when finishing out the hole, they have a bell hanging from a tree that you ring on your way to the next teepad letting the group behind you know that you are clear without yelling or leaving them guessing.

Very nice, will have to get up there sometime.

A mailbox full of nice scorecards printed on card stock. There is an amazing course here in MN, they have real nice cards with distances and pars for each hole from each tee. On the back they also have general information and a nice picture map of the layout of the course and a message from the owner operator. A really nice touch!!

Art on the course

I was thinking about this as well. Sculptures would be nice, especially something that moves in the wind. And I remember seeing photos of Flip City where people have made creative shapes out of the rock piles. I also saw photos somewhere on this forum where an elementary school class drew the tee signs for a course.

We have one of these at the local chucker's course. On the outside of the box there's a little label that says "live scorpions"

Some decretive stones along teeboxes, creeks, and baskets.

Brick teeboxes like at Roscoe Ewing DGC hole 13. Looks cool

Nice bridges.

Water coolers.

Rain shelters/huts

Snapped this at Waterloo State Rec Area simply because I'd seen very little of just that -- signage warning/raising awareness about our sport in multi-use areas.

This example is where biking/walking trails intersect the course, and while it's a VERY busy state park, it seems barely anyone uses the course! In fact, there was even a sign near the welcome kiosk asking disc golfers for help in keeping the course popular, hosting tourneys, etc...if Michigan didn't have the out-of-state fee, I imagine this course would be more popular.
