Wow, more people said yes then i would ahve thought. id like this poll altered to ask

"Do you have a basket"
Yes, Portable Metal Basket
Yes, Fold up Basket.
No.

Got a m14 for fathers day. I have 9 nice homemade ones as and a traveler well.

I have a few. The more baskets I get, the worse I get. Though I suspect age is the culprit.

If you built one upload some photos!

Oh and I have one in my classroom (instep) which I need to add inner chains and a pop up at the house which I rarely use.

Mach II in the back yard. Traveler in the garage. Don't really use either much. Home course is only 1/2 mile away. If i have time, I typically go to my home course.

I made my own last summer:

Which worked fine for practicing.

But then a couple of months ago, I got an Innova Skillshot delivered out of the blue. Knew it wasn't my wife - she's sick of all the discs I buy. Figured it was my parents, they had just been in town and that's the kind of thing they like to do.

So I call my best friend and playing partner, tell him the story, and he tells me that he was ordering discs, saw the Skillshot for a good price and ordered it for me as a gift. Unbelievable!

We were partners at league for the first time in a while the other night (random partners each week), and he bombed my pretty new sparkly Opto Saint the first time he threw it.

So of course I gave it to him, but I still owe him for above and beyond generosity.

I've now got two baskets in the yard about 150' feet apart, great for approach practice and of course putting.

I got a DB-5 for my birthday earlier this year. I added an inner layer of chains to increase catchability. As stated earlier bt others , the convienence of being able to step out your back door for putting practice can not be overstated. My putting confidence has greatly improved(still lots of room for improvement)
You wanna drop strokes faster, get a basket:D:thmbup::clap:

I got one since I am doing an internship for school in an area of Illinois seemingly devoid of disc golf. :(
In the future, I hope to get a permanent one after I get settled somewhere after graduating from college.

I have an M14, but hope to get another one some day, so I can stop having to pick up all my discs out of the basket/off the ground, and walk back to do it all over again....would be nice to just be able to putt BACK towards another basket. Twice as effective...

i love setting up the basket in my side yard and people slow down to see what the hell i'm doing...a neighbor down the street stopped and said really? i said of course why not!! next thing you know he puts the car in park pops his trunk and starts unloading putters into the basket...:) Disc Golf-It brings neighbors together....that's my pitch for disc golf slogan of 2012...:D

I have a Mach Lite, bought red [two years ago?] because I'm a dumbass. At first I hated it, because it was distracting, but then I found it to be a useful tool - I don't have people bangin' chains behind me while I practice, or someone else's cell ringing, bag jingling, reusable water bottle squeaking, **** like that, but I do have this intensely red object to stare at lol.

Gave my skillshot away, couldn't stand it. I want a real basket but don't want to drop the cash just yet.

Wow I'm very surprised about how many of us have baskets. I don't have one yet but starting this thread has made me feel like I "need" one. Putting is my favorite part of the game but I have lots of improvement...who doesn't though?
