Banned from a private course resulting from a review on this site

Let me restate that certainly private courses are 100% the owners discretion in every way and they can ban whoever they want for whatever reason they want. There's nothing to be said about that.

I kind of want to post the PM but am resisting the urge.

Dave242 and jenkins both gave it a 4, it's never received below that.

Prerube is off his A game today. :|

Whatever you think of the owner (and I have no idea who either person is or their character) put yourself in his place. He did all this hard work and then some one who might not do anything to help disc golf except play courses talks sh*t about his hard work.

That would piss off everyone of you and I'll give 10-1 odds you would ban him too.

The impact this site has truly is amazing. I mean someone says they don't like a course on here and they can't comeback? LMAO.

Morgan is quite a unique guy based on his time online.

It is totally within their rights to kick him off.

But there is a big difference between one's rights, and what is in good taste.

It is also within you and your friends rights to publicly shame the course owner for doing so. And I for one encourage you to do so -- give all the details, and include this information in the review.

(Of course, there are lots of good reasons to kick someone off a private course. Just that given a bad review isn't one of them.)

I got the names correct, but I was off .5 on the number. I was thinking of Dave's 3.5 of Maple Hill.
I don't know heavy pain medications have my mind in a fog.

In my humble opinion, if the course is not available to the general public at predictable hours, it shouldn't be listed on dgcr for reviews. That rules out some of the best private courses, but with the traffic this site gets, managing the one-off requests to play a private course could easily become an overwhelming burden. Maybe the owner of whatever course is the subject of the conversation is just getting tired of managing the burden.

That's kind of where I'm coming from. While great things should stand for themselves IMO, obviously the right to respond to a review is the same as the right to review in the first place. If you don't wanna hear about it then don't put youself out there in either case. It's obviously all kind of inconsequential and easy to shrug about but it's also some kind of strange benchmark for this site if there aren't other stories of this having happened before.

Or. Courses like bop or downs farm are listed, but not on the map accurately so you cannot drive up without contacting the owner. Drives out but all the riff raff

Just another reason not to review courses here. I'll add it to my ever-growing list.

i'm banning anybody who comes to play my course and doesn't bring me a beer.
