[Discraft] glo vs cryztal vs z zone

In a panic last night I searched through some stacks and boxes of discs for zones. I only found 48. I touched them all. I'm good for now as long as the letters OOP are not mentioned again.

you've got me beat by about 8 but i dont have any esp :p

Holy schneikies! I have 2 z zones 1esp and 1 cflx. I was thinking of getting a few backups but dang! If I had 48 zones I would roll around in them daily.

Earlier this year I installed security cameras all around the exterior of my house. It's under constant surveillance. There are no cameras in the interior but if there were someone might get hold of some freaky videos of me rolling around in a pile of zones. 48 was the number I touched. I have some more dyed and being dyed. I'm easily over 50. And sorry about the possible visuals.

Why anyone would throw a disc with a thumbtrac over the mighty Zone baffles me. I love my ESPs and glows but I've been really fond of the Zs.

Zone is the most used disc in my bag. Use if for wind putts and anything in the 50'-225' range.
I started with a prod.
Beat the hell out of it and it still flew amazing. But decided to replace it because the thumb intentions were getting freaky deep.

So I replaced it with a limited edition midnight black z zone.
Surprisingly it was like I never changed discs. Flight was very close. Grip was different of course, not bad, just different.

Then I played a tournament that had water on every hole, turns out the water as also limited edition midnight black.

So I ran up to the TD tent and grabbed another pro-d Zone, which is still my go to disc today.

I picked up a great lakes open glo z zone a few weeks ago. (Glow dubs every week here in FLA).
Super overstable. Waaaay different

i looooove the cryztals. Short range flicks and hyzer spikes, there is no equal.

just picked up a backup at the DD tourney yesterday (piney woods open). which was sweet because i didn't hafta pay shipping and also I used my $15 player pack voucher plus $5 hard cash. SCORE

good choice for OS duties

I think all the Zones are pretty OS
I like the Cryz so far but might end up getting some Cryz Flx for the winter

any of these have a distance winner?

i really like them...like a midrange/ better than a gator! not as good as a pro rhyno but SE/good pro is two times as much money! but wish this was in a good soft x plastic.

why don't they make a pro plastic for these? base plastic and we could putt with them too.

elnino
if by "pro" you mean base i.e. "pro d" like ejvogie said then yes there are those

to me they seem a little slimmer, hence perhaps a touch faster
also not quite as beefy

they would be your distance winner...especially once you beat one up a bit

I've been pitch putting with Pro D Zones lately and liking what I'm getting

I'm waiting on some D Zones that I traded for to arrive and then I will start throwing one into some trees to get me a really beat one for straighter driving

Distance per plastic goes like this for me, longest->shortest
Pro d, Z, ESP

Havent thrown cryz or flx but i would imagine them being very slightly straighter, thus longer, than the Z. Pro D break into really nice discs, start out very OS then beat in to about premi Jokeri stability and probably wear more although i keep losing them or bending them before this point.

I added to your list based of my experiences.

My Pro D is thrashed at this point (bent to hell and serious damage to the rim), and it still has a very healthy fade. If anything it's about where a Z starts. Keep throwing yours!

Your Z is straighter than your D? Is that what youre saying? Interesting

Ive talked to some people that swear the Z is a mako compared to the esp but mine are just glidier and still fade the same amount
