Best Headwind Driver?

Throwing RHBH I have recently been very disappointed in how my Beast flies into a headwind (I typically can throw it around 300'). I am looking to purchase a good headwind driver but I am not quite sure what I should go with. My gut tells me a Firebird because I don't think I have the arm to throw anything faster than that BH. Do you guys think this is a good choice, and if I do go with it, should I go DX plastic or something higher end? Thanks in advance.

I would prolly throw my 174 champ boss, but i hear firebirds are great into a headwind (if your snap is good)

My firebird goes farther in a headwind then no wind. Awkward ;p
^I agree with the overstable comment though.

yah the predator/firebird, they're actually slower discs than your beast, they're just more overstable, both would work well

anything overstable yeah. I throw Flicks. To the "firebird flys further in a headwind than no wind" guy, there are some physics behind that one. I took "Intro to Physics" TWICE at a junior college so Im not the guy to explain it but...

I'm pretty sure the Firebird is just so damn overstable it takes a headwind just to straighten the damn thing out for a second so it can get some distance instead of just crashing into the ground.

Don't ever got with dx or similarly cheap plastic for your drivers because they will beat in very quickly and then not hold the same lines... Definitely go more overstable than a beast though you can always go Firebird, TeeRex or Destroyer (each is faster than the one before)

It all depends on how you throw. If you're not throwing a Beast much over 300', I definitely wouldn't go with anything faster. You could try something like a firebird or starfire, if those are too overstable try an orc.

When you throw into a headwind, the disc thinks you threw it faster than you really did because it's cutting into so much more air. Overstable discs are great, I use a Monster. I had a Firebird, that worked great too.

I reach for a Predator when I have to drive into a headwind.

im gonna give another vote for the firebird. At the 300' range it will do good for you in the champ plastic

Beasts are really understable, so if that's what you're comfortable throwing then you don't want to step up to something too fast/overstable.

Firebird will probably work nice, FL even if the Firebird is too much.
TeeRex or Starfire would probably be a good bet also
Anything more than these and you might be getting into trouble

If you look up the stats on the beast its the same as the valk. It has a -2 high speed and a 2 for a slow speed. A monster might be a good choice also, that was my fav till i bought a max weight star max. You wanna talk about a beast! That thing is MASSIVELY overstable.

If its a rough headwind I use my z Predator but will throw my star Teebird if its moderate to light. Others have mentioned the Xcal and the Firebird and those both work good as well.

Moderate headwinds I typically use a Star Teebird, for heavy headwinds I use a Star Firebird or ESP Predator. I have a hard time throwing anything faster BH.
