Your Local Dream 18

Staying within 30 minutes of Cincinnati, and trying to share the wealth, these are holes that I step on the tee and either see beauty or gulp at danger, but always realize that a really well executed shot, right here, would make my day:
1. Lincoln Ridge (either pin position)
2. AJ Jolley
3. Idlewild (either tee)
4. Mason Sports Park (having gotten down clean once )
5. Idlewild (big gulp here)
6. Cabin Creek (grin looking over the paintball obstacles)
7. Lincoln Ridge
8. Mason Sports Park
9. Idlewild (my only ace opportunity here)
10. Mt.Airy (either pin position: ever played it in the trees to the right?)
11. Idlewild (period)
12. Lincoln Ridge
13. Idlewild (long pin)
14. Osage Grove
15. Mt. Airy
16. Idlewild
17. Osage Grove
18. Lincoln Ridge
(extras: Lincoln Ridge 20 & 24, Idlewild C (long), Monroe 19...?)
ps: if you couldn't tell, I like downhills!

But I also must admit I wouldn't turn down the opportunity to play this stretch of ten ace* runs at ten area courses (don't laugh, three are under 100'!):
3. Embshoff
4. Lincoln Ridge
5. Williamsburg*
6. Alexandria*
7. Gardner
8. Karl vonColdewey
9. Woodland Mound
10. AJ Jolly
11. Winton Woods*
12. Boone Woods

I didn't use any holes from the Toboggan, because:
a) it isn't playable year round
b) it just wouldn't be fair to the other local courses.

Harr,

Our local area has thought about doing this. It was to be an overlay to our existing tournament series.

It was to be a "dream 18" where 18 holes were to be marked special on scorecards throughout the series. (likely 2 or three per event, but more holes at the final than other events)

Only scores "Better than par" would be tracked. I.e. only birdies, aces, (eagles, if appropriate). Although we were more in mind to only be using the best of our reachable par threes.

With that in mind, threes wouldn't mean anything, and fours or above wouldn't be punished.

At the end, if we kept the data well enough we could award the "dream 18" with a prize of some sort, likely based on who we got to sponsor the series feature. Maybe it would be -6 that would win, maybe -14, who knows.

Rewards attendance to series events, and having more holes marked in the final event would keep it exciting.

*Yes the PGA tour has done this in a version sponsored by Kodak (thus featuring the most "picturesque") holes. I believe they ran it as a $1M prize and it kept some tour elite playing extra events late into the season trying to improve their score.
