The 25th Annual Memorial Championship

congrats to will great weekend of golf he stayed on his game all weekend. The scene at the end with prodigy was too much. Show some class, so what you won, celebrating is great, but this is not the final four, no need to storm the court. That summed up prodigy for me, a bunch of okay discs with a bunch of kids repping for them. HEck the discs are not that great.

Congrats to paul for the sickest round ever!!!!!!

There's too much Prodigy hate around here. Their celebration was fine, but as someone else said, the timing of it was wrong. They should have waited until everyone had putted out. I actually thought is was cool. A littlr excitement after a big win is definitely warranted.

The celebration after Will's tee shot on the playoff hole was also bad timing. A lot of it seems fake to me.

So Will threw a Firebird in the play off. Huh.. In the heat of battling for 1st in a play off didn't throw his D1 that's weird.

Well, when he played that hole the previous time he did seem to throw the D1, which ended up skipping OB. So I guess he wanted to throw something slower and more familiar, just to make sure he doesn't repeat what he did before.

Will and Ricky both threw a ton of big skip hyzer D1s. GG threw lots of mids/putters on the same holes. Maybe it's me but all of the monster hyzers around/over every natural obstacle makes for great scores but is pretty boring golf.

It's just a different brand of disc golf. Not every course should be in the woods, and not every course should be wide open with long holes.

I watched the coverage and didn't see allot of driver shots from him. The forehand eagle was the only shot I truly saw a prodigy disc. I was being facetious of course but as usual Will throws Midranges on everything up to 400 usually, and I don't think that their were allot of holes were they needed Max D Drivers.

Haha. Go play the courses. Look at the caddy book. Players were using prodigy drivers on the clear majority of holes this tournament. All az has to offer is water and length.

I still didn't see a majority of max d shots like you are saying. The 440-18 he used a Roc or a Buzzz? Hole 1 he used a firebird? I only saw the Fountain Hills, and part of the Vista but it seemed allot of Putter and Midrange shots, with a spike hyzer here and there. We must have been watching a differant tournament!

God. There is a healthy dose of stupid on these forums, especially with all you haters.

Even worse, are the obvious haters, who say "I'm not a hater." (even though every post I make is negative.) I saw plenty of Prodigy discs out there from all of the Prodigy players, but for Will to throw a high speed driver with tons of glide for that playoff hole would've been a mistake. Also, for the people questioning Will's Prodigy 'teammates' not having his back with the card... Will had his own Card, GG and Wysocki had nothing to do with it, so to say they 'didn't have his back' because they 'let him turn it in without the total' is just plain wrong.

"Feldberg won with an ALL Latitude bag... DERP" because Latitude has all the disc options he needs. When Prodigy has a super overstable speed 9 driver, I assure you, there will be no INNOVA firebirds in Will's bag.

God this forum hurts my head sometimes.

Hammer didn't cash, but he DID do a great job.

Ooops, you're right. I haven't had my coffee this morning yet. However, he did get 42nd place. Which means he is now Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything!

I wasn't saying anything about distance. I did like how the heat was on and he stopped reaching for prodigy and pulled out good old Innova when the heat was on.

Just thought it was funny. Not bashing he could beat me with a paper plate. Don't matter what disc he has in his hand he will find a way to play 1000 rated round with it.

Since your so much smarter then all of us stupid people? Also, much more refined, and evolved also? How many times do you think that Will S unsheathed his D1 at Fountain Hills? It's not everyday I get to talk to someone that is so much more intellectually superior to all of us dummies? I'm saying 6 times at most and even that I believe to be high. What do you think knowledgeable one?

Seems to me like it would have been a mistake on allot of the holes for Will to throw this type of disc, but I digress.

Sitting at a keyboard thousands of miles away from the event speculating on how many times someone threw a disc like it's fact is pretty dumb. And people here wonder why most pros don't stay on this forum very long.

I don't recall people screaming that Nikko didn't win one for Gateway because he had a mixed bag when he won the USDGC while on the team.

It's not what you say but how you say it.

You might have made some good points, maybe not, but all anyone will see or remember are these comments.

Grow up. :\

Nobody is forcing you to read this stuff.

People are just pissed because instead of coming out as a disc golf company and making good discs and attracting good players. They just bought out the best ones they could buy. When Dave went to lat no one seemed to care they because they have been out for awhile now and make a full line. it didnt seem that big of a deal. Prodigy may have went about it all wrong and will alienate themselves for some of the choices they make. It already happened so nothing anyone can do about it. I just hope they keep it professional. Less we vs them
