Rank em: Top 10 most overstable drivers

If Innova would press some Champion Rams, I would pony up $25 for it immediately without even asking my wife if it's okay. The Rams of yesteryear would last half a season before not being much overstable. A Champion Ram would outlive us all. Even Chuck Norris wouldn't be able to flip it.

This is how I felt about DX Vipers before I found these CE ones. I could chuck a DX Viper for about a month before it lost it's stability.

These CFR/CE Vipers last forever though, and are by far the most stable disc in existence.

I apologize for not having ten, but I really haven't thrown that many crazy OS molds. Just gotta mention Latitude 64's Villain though. That thing is crazy overstable at appropriate speeds, still crazy overstable into headwinds thrown all out, and just gets even more insanely overstable when powered down. Embarrasses the Nuke OS's I've thrown.

So psyched about the RAM love going on, thought Dan Howard and I were the only true believers...

My list, in order, of the only ones I've thrown out of the many on everyone's lists.

1) RAM (1st run)
2) RAM (2nd run)
3) Whippet
4) Viper
5) Speed Demon (1st run)
6) Flick

Sorry, ran out at six. I don't throw much OS stuff, mostly just for wind, FH, and the occasional OH or FH roller. I'm still kind of an old school "hyzer and let it flip" kind of guy.

PS. All you new guys should check around Marshall St., etc, to find a brand-new, 1st run RAM, just to see where the edge of the overstability universe lies. You could throw those things like a baseball and they would hit 100' out, roll a while and still finish right. However, as previously said, made in DX only, were very stiff and after hitting a tree or a rock you retired it. I have about a dozen of them and only one or two have survived unscathed.

Yep...It's 2013, and the Flick is my OS Disc right now. I also have a dozen Rams down here in my basement, all retired and playing shuffleboard to Lawrence Welk music...

I had a Viper in about 1990 or so. Was a TERRIBLE newbie player in those days (although I could forehand a Stingray, hyzer-flip up and straight, for 200', which made me look good to all of the people walking about in Indiana who had no idea what Disc Golf was)...and couldn't throw my Viper for anything. It ended up in Grand Woods Park's pond (Lansing, MI) as soon as I moved up there. At least my Whippet was good for tomahawks. (and it also ended up in that pond)

I can't believe I forgot about the spirit it's the most over stable disc in my bag. My friend has a 175 blizzard metal flake max that is a beastly os driver

I have a first run champ boss that might be the most over stable disc I've ever thrown. Honorable mention goes to firebird, monster, z xtra, x cal, and last but not least speed demon.

Did they actually make the Nuke OS throwable after the first run? The only one I Have ever seen thrown is a first run that I have and it is literally more stable than you could ever actually need. It's a nice security blanket sometimes but still ridiculous. I've had a a few villains and they don't even come close to my Nuke OS. Is mine just beefier than most?

1) Original Z Xtreme
1.5) EVO Test Spirit [1.5 because it's just as OS as the xtreme, but faster, and I think the speed adds to the OS, personally, so ties go to the slower disc]
3) First Run Nuke OS
4) The new pancake-flat, brick-hard Firebirds.
5) Z Flick
6) Max
7) Ape
8) 2012 Sparkle CFR Champ Krait (We got one in 180g that is absurdly OS)
9) XXX
10) Certain Star Destroyers (Pandemonium 2 had a few that would have bumped to # 3-4 on this list)

I just decided to put my xtreme in my bag and holy mother, that thing is a massive meathook. I thought the trident was overstable, not so much anymore :D

1.) new run FAF 12x Firebird
2.) Spirit
3.) Nuke OS
4.) Ape
5.) XXX
6.) Max
7.) Force
8.) Flick
9.) Dyemax pop-top Star Xcal
10.) beat up 150 class SE Leopard

OP Update:

After doing some field work last night throwing a few Halos, Xcals, Maxs, Firebirds, and D1s for an hour into 15+ mph headwinds. I can honestly say that nothing was even close to being as overstable as the 2 flat top Champ Firebirds I own.

Not Close.

Respect to the guy that mentioned Tachyon 4.1. No idea how it compares to all this other dreck, but that's some good old-school crazy-overstable goodness.

Flat top evo spirit (hpp or normal E) is easily the most overstable disc out there.

Close second would probably go to a z xtreme.

From what I have thrown enough to have an opinion.

1 - Firebird (New Pearly Flats or the CFR Glow Asian Opens are the craziest)
2 - Viper
3 - CFR Maxs (More OS then the Star ones)
4 - Champ Whippet-X
5 - Starlite Destroyers (Domey bottom stamps also)
6 - Villain
7 - Champ XCals
8 - Monster-X
9 - KC Banshee

Many others probably deserve a spot on here but I haven't thrown them enough to have a good opinion.
Glow Nuke OS (Might fight the firebird for the 1 spot)
Spirit (Been years since I picked one up)
Flick (Crazy Flay)
XXX
Predator
Ape (Only thrown a couple times - Not impressed but very OS)
Rampage
