Straitest Premium driver out of the box

Cool man, I'm just saying, if you can throw 400+ with the form of a newer player, just imagine how much distance you could add with some form tips given to you from a video analysis!

There are guys who just start that can bomb, and you sound like you're one of them, but I highly encourage you to post a video somewhere (if not on dgcr) and have some of the higher level players analyze your throws. Who knows, you could be at 500' by years end!

and I certainly intend to do so, but right now I know I have things to work on and practice time to put in. once I correct the inconsistencies I am aware of how to perfect then I will post for critique from the experts. I am just looking for a couple discs to add for practice and play as I progress. that was the entire point of this thread. not for a disc too correct anything but one appropriate to continue learning with

That sucks that your autocorrect has mis-used strait for straight every time you've typed it.
Yeah, it's because of me and the grammar police that people don't come back to DGCR....

But back to your straighter disc needs, a DX teebird will beat to straight super quick; if you're still turning and burning your beast, you should try an SL.

If you really think you need to throw something faster than a Leo, I would recommend the Star TL.

THIS.

It's not a big deal if you put a 450' drive 20' from the basket and miss the birdie putt. If I could make a deal with the disc gods saying that I could make every putt in the circle no matter what, but only be able to throw 350', I'd sign that **** in a heartbeat.

Daubers, stop worrying about how far you can throw discs.

Acc. U. Ra. Cy. That's what matters my friend.

Also, has a lot to do with what elevation you are throwing at. At sea level a TL will be a bit flippy, but gets more stable as elevation increases.

This didnt happen to me. I was throwing my Star TL on 8 of the 24 holes we played at Dela this last weekend and it was just as straight as it is here in the valley. My Star TL even holds straight in a head wind.

a sincere Thanks to everyone who helped, I appreciate your advice although I probably won't be back for more

If money was a concern...why ask in the title "Straitest Premium driver out of the box"?

get a DX Tbird, cheap and straight.

If everyone got a nickel for every unrelated post in this thread or straight up unhelpful, then we'd all have a lot of nickels.

I would suggest a Stag. I prefer Tourney plastic, as I feel it is straighter while the VIP plastic has more lateral movement. Still a decent fade if thrown high enough, but if kept low they'll be straight till they land. I carry two, 175g & 176g. This is for about 400' shots.

If you come back, I recommend the Escape. I was using Stalkers and loved them for long tunnel shots, but found the Escape to be a straighter and longer disc right out of the box. I've handed mine off to multiple other players to try out and they all have a very similar experience, very straight line with minimal fade when thrown flat. I also throw mine almost as far as I throw big wing drivers (personal flaw in my throwing technique that needs to be fixed).

Other recommendations: Stalker, TL, Eagle-L, Striker, or Saint. Sorry that most of my recommendations are fairway speed, I'm not as strong with the big winged distance drivers.

That's what I was thinking. I just gave my brand new DX Tbird to my son because it was too straight (I already have that slot filled by my Polaris LS). I replaced it with a Champ 'Bird for a little fade at the end. The DX Tbird was absolutely dead straight for me right out of the box, and I only throw 300 to 320 with it.

Even my straight discs will fade on the occasional throw that is too high or nose up (I'm working on that, don't worry).

Star TL. Also, the Star Sidewinder works great for me at reduced power for this purpose. That's a damned fine Disc for old folks like me!

He said he wanted premium plastic because he plays at a heavily wooded course.

Anyway, my suggestion is either the Volt or the Saint. They might be flippy if you are throwing them 400' though. Along with most of the discs suggested in this thread.

Leopard will solve your needs. Or a volt, but it'll have some fade when it slows down. A brand new river or saint would help too
