Will Schusterick's Driving Tips (Video)

Paul McBeth said the same thing. Don't pull through the chest.

I gotta say, I'm a huge Will fan....awesome video.

Nice video! I always thought the point of the peck drill was to pull through at chest height? Throwing with my core makes much more sense, but I have been trying hard to throw at chest height and not lower from where the video shows.

Is this a preference thing or actual good practice?

The Dan Beato video about the pec drill is nice for beginners but it isn't the true pro form.

great vid! i like how he he kept it simple, no excess.

Great video. I just recently made a distance leap and everything Will said is what i have found out out on my own. i glad to hear what i have been doing is right. friends told me right pec, right pec drill. second the opinion for new throwers, right pec drill works. advanced throwers need more. still wanna reach 400 ft not yet but soon. close bh and fh. i am a equal opportunity thrower.

Just watched this myself, and I was quite impressed. I am trying to break down my form from a standstill, so it will help a lot.

The only part I feel like I might have trouble with is opening up at the hips instead of shifting my weight. It feels like I am going to collapse my knees together. Need to work on it a bit more, obviously.

I too had right pec drill style exercises preached at me on another site I won't name....;) It never felt right to me on long distance drives and I've been realizing a few of the points that Will touched on in the video recently. Now I know for sure that I'm headed in the right direction. Nice video BTW.

Very good instructional video. Will seems to be the lead figure of the Prodigy team. I hope they continue to preduce a lot of small, relevant videos like this one.

Shows what TO DO, what NOT TO DO....AND tells why (without a 10min blab-fest/I-love-to-hear-myself-talk session in between)

A guide and visual aid to give you something to go out and PRACTICE YOURSELF

Two n00b thumbs up (two n00b thumbs down for my rainy weather)

If you go watch the slow motion video link at the end of this video, it looks like his knees are buckling towards each other. Almost painful.

Well, practice field here I come!

This was an excellent video. Being forehand dominant is a curse sometimes and I need to develop a decent backhand. Been throwing my putters and mids in a field lately and can't wait to try out some of these tips, thinking about doing a putter and mid only round this week to see what I picked up

Bar none best instructional ever. It wasnt juat distane that improved but it just felt more comfortable. That standsrill seems so simple but think it has been insanely effective.

Agreed.

I'm tired of the instructional videos that start off with someone showing the camera the disc, telling me what it is, what it's supposed to do and then they throw it as far as they can and turn and say NOW YOU DO IT TOO!
