Delta Cart

Admittedly sad that these are the things I look forward to but getting blue balls due to pushed back release dates really sucks.

If it's just due to more vinyl wrap options at least show us what the cart looks like. They are in fact disc golfers. They must know we are an impatient breed.

The white looks sweet!! You could even touch it now, without getting burned, in AZ summers :p

Just cut out a new vinyl wrap for glow season. I really like the white color even if it did not glow.

The preorder site is live. Here's the description of the Delta 11, for posterity's sake:

Delta Cart 11

The highly anticipated Delta Cart 11 has arrived. The white Aluminum powder coat frame brings a fresh new look with a wide variety of colored vinyl to match any personality. The frame has been strengthened, the cooler now holds ice, and the organizer has been reconfigured for better utilization.

When developing the Delta Cart, the positioning of the cargo and the ease of access when playing was the key aspect. The frame is made of aluminum due to its great strength to weight ratio. This ensures extreme durability while staying light as possible. The width to height gives the cart a very low center of gravity so it doesn't tend to tip over. The carts 5.5-inch ground clearance gives you plenty of room so you don't get caught on debris. We've positioned the axle so that when the cart is fully loaded it gives the cart a weightless handle. This can be adjusted to suit players of all heights and statures. The adjustable height handle ensures the cart won't hit your feet when you pulled behind you.

The fabric used on the Delta Cart 11 is 1680 Denier polyurethane coated. It's the industries most durable material and highly water resistant, we also added a foam backing to reduce noise. The removable cooler can also double as an extra putter pocket. The bottom storage compartment gives you additional storage for a jacket or up to 5 discs.

Delta Cart offers several accessories that can attach to the pole. The universal umbrella holder offers a hands free way to stay dry on the course. We offer a range of drink holders (16oz-40oz) for all beverage sizes. The new cell phone holder makes keeping score and filming your shots a breeze.

Looks like a strengthened frame and some cooler/organizer tweaks are the only real differences. Some new cool vinyls, and the new base color appears to be a clear powder coat aluminum. Small price bump of $30 too. I might be missing something, and there might be something more when more pics are posted.

The foam backing is interesting; not sure if that's new. I wonder if this model will rattle or make less noise when the door is open but not secured.

I was hoping there would be a way to mount drink holders on the back of the box. I can drill my own holes, but I'd think they could design something better than I could in my garage.

so surprised - drink holding should not be an afterthought. we don't use "12 oz cans" lol we use 32 oz gatorade or 40 oz Hydroflask bottles - you know, the 3.5" diameter bottles. Nalgenes. All the backpacks have a bottle holder for the 3.5" bottle. another disappointment for me. oh well, i hope you enjoy drinking your 4 bottles of 16.9 oz water..

Im surprised they didnt address the two things most delta owners mod on the 10s.
Drink holders
Pole mounted putter pouch/storage

I do like the new wraps
Im interested to see the changes to the frame, cooler bag, organiser, and lower storage.

I've never felt the need for a pole pouch but they seem popular.

Maybe if the cooler pouch is bigger a nalgene will fit in, at least that would be something.

So no drink holder, foam tires, or pole pouch and they added 30 bucks to the price and its already backordered 45 days. Missing anything else? Got to say changing the base color from black to whatever it is now is a bit of a disappointment. Guess I got some thinking to do

I'm not entirely convinced foam tires are the right call. From the discussions I had after doing the solid tube insert on my X, it sounds like the foam made the cart really bouncy which is not a good thing.

I would like to see pictures the redesigned storage boxes. If they're a better version of the X's, I hope they're available separately for a retro-fit.

I agree that they should have done something along the lines of a pole pouch. It does not need to be exclusively for putters, but something that has a less narrow storage area. Most people, me included, who run with the Delta have something on the pole. I personally would like to have a storage space for my dslr or camcorder. The narrow storage boxes are too narrow to carry either camera. Right now my solution is to take out seven discs in the main area and carry it in there. The solution I tried to come up is just a tad too small, so I am going back to the drawing board. I was hoping that with the 11 that a solution was made for me.

So with the new price, little to no upgrades to the added features and no accessories included - we would be looking at over $500 conservatively if someone wanted the cell phone holder, umbrella holder and upgraded water cage for Nalgenes?

Probably better off waiting for someone local to sell their 10 on the secondary market.

did you know a milk crate with wheels also will fit 18-24 discs, room in front of the discs for a soft lunchbox w/ cell phone holder, and it also doesn't have a nalgene holder, all for about $400 cheaper?

I have a 10, and I'm going to be building a cart once it gets a bit colder... I already bought the aluminum stock end of last winter before I caved and bought the ultimate cart - delta 10 with blue vinyl wrap and the first ever blue handle wrap... so there might just be a very nice, barely used 10 hitting the market in the future...

My wife said the same thing about the milk crate or even an old plastic filing system - didn't Cale use one of those long ago? I will be curious to see how your design comes out! Sounds like a nice project for the cold winter we are projected to have.

I usually build things in the winter and add them to my YouTube channel, mostly so far it's been spin dye and basket builds, so my first cart build will be fun

The idea behind the delta is good but they should have sourced parts which are being mass produced for another product. From what I remember locally is the design to actual product was not an easy one. I even know someone who worked on a prototype in a machine shop and mentioned how they (delta) had no idea wft they were doing.

At this point it is over engineered and underperforming. 11 should be an upgrade from the 10...?

I think volume is the biggest issue with no cash to actually order stock.. All preorder based it seems early on which isnt a good thing for a 2nd run.

I often dont buy first products released as it is very common for them to be tweaked and fixed to improve the user experience and increase perceived value etc..

DaFuq delta?! I think ill do the same and build my own. I think i could come up with a "kit cart" for under $350 shipped...
