Why does this plastic get a bad name? I'm obviously missing something here. I like my rpro dart and roc just fine. Nice grippy plastic

My dart is pretty floppy, but the newer roc is fairly stiff, and gummy. Haven't had trouble with it beating in any more than pro plastic

hit a tree and it doesn't fly the same.. maybe some people like that, but i prefer discs that perform the same for very long periods of time, this way i can develop more consistency.

to each his own

Most of the reasons why it sucks are "thats what she said".

It's too soft, too floppy and too inconsistent.

but i prefer discs that perform the same for very long periods of time,

I love z and champ for this reason. I've used my r-pro dart mainly as a putter, and haven't used the roc much at all, so hadn't noticed these problems. Thanks.

Its because in pros in the bag they do not have them. Probably the same reason most players throw teebirds over eagles because the pros prefer them or have them. Kind of how I see 75% of the players in my area throwing star destroyers when very few should be throwing them. Also the PD got no love, until McBeths in the bag said he like them and they are underrated. Now all of a sudden this forum has a man crush on it.

My R-Pro Polecat has a floppy flight plate, but the rim is pretty stiff. For R-Pro. It's worn much slower than any DX I've owned. There's little scrapes and such, but no big nicks or gouges. And I've thrown it into so many trees, it probably should have fallen apart by now.

It warps sometimes, but it's back to normal by the next hole. It's also gotten a little understable, but that would happen to any disc.

The eagle is too over stable for me when new, but I have a beat 11x champ eagle that is MONEY... haven't tried a tee bird yet.

ummm this forum has had a broner for the PD for a long time now.

Loooooooong before McBeth's in the bag.

Coincidentally he also had an R-Pro Aviar in his bag for a while. He talks about it in MurderMike's In The Bag with the Ricos.

Love my R-Pro Aviars. But they have to be bright Orange. Yeah I know. Its in my head.

Soft flexible RPro Polecat will stick really well on fast greens. Other soft putters will do the same, but if you like Polecats, RPro does this well. On the other hand, I'd rather throw DX Polecats. Better feel in my opinion.

Just checked my rpro roc out again. It is bright orange.
It seems nice and firm, not floppy at all. And not too soft either. It was used when I got it, and still no dents or dings in it. Has a nice flat top on it too. Nice stable disc, holds any line you put it on. I like it.

There are two different rubber pro TPE's.

The first is for mids and putters, like your Dart. Its great stuff, grippy and flexible.

The other is for drivers. Boss, Dragon, Wahoo.
Its not so good. Its much too soft, but brittle at the same time, which results in easy damage and abrupt changes in flight characteristics after a few throws.
Nobody likes R-Pro drivers, but it did allow Dave to run Boss's down to 130 grams, and they floated.

Now its all bubble this and starlight that.

This makes sense. Thanks!!!!
Btw that roc is NOT a plus mold, which also gets a lot of hate, but I've never tried it, so I wouldn't know....
