[Legacy] The Legacy Outlaw

Gstar is floppy crap while soft icon is buttery, grippy goodness

I finally gave up on outlaws (went back to destroyers) after my third icon was still too squirrelly in the wind. I could never get a consistent turn out of them. Maybe the pinnacle will solve that problem, they definitely look more stable. I bet a 165 will bomb.

Funny, after seeing my Rampage fail on a headwind throw on the first round, went with Legend Outlaw for the same shot on round two, it got a bit of turn, but then smoothed out nicely and gave solid fade, where the Rampage went flat and straight about halfway, then, instead of doing a fade to the right like I expected (RHFH), dumped to the left out of nowhere, it's landing angle like a RHBH spike hyzer :gross: . Granted, this was Legend, not Icon Outlaw, but haven't seen it be too much more OS than my 1st run Icon (which I threw on the very next hole).

Well I've only tried second run and production icon outlaws, maybe the first runs are more stable. I know the legends are definitely supposed to be more stable. Tried a couple cannons but no rampages.

FR's ARE the most stable. SR's are the least; production runs somewhere in between. Looks like Pinnacles are a bit beefy, which is exactly what you'd expect.

But still we know the colors will probably mold up a little different.

Pinnacle is my favorite Legacy plastic. The slime Legends have been my favorite stable Outlaw, but they are not quite perfect in the wind. That's where I hope the Pinn Outlaw will drop in.

I will be most interested in how these compare to the Legend runs as well as something like a Westside Giant.

As an ex-Giant chucker, the domey VIP one I had was still miles more OS than my Legend Outlaw or Icon Rampage. Plus, it would do skips/bounces better, especially when it came down straight on its wing/edge (basically 12-6 on the clockface), it'd just keep bouncing along to the direction of the fade. That one I think only ever failed to fade back once, Rampage has more headwind non-comebacks already.

167g lilac and 175g aqua.

Aqua is beef
Lilac has some turn and absolutely bombs. I normally max around 400', but I threw them at lunch a few days ago and Google Earth showed 450'+ (I know GE isn't exactly accurate, but it said 472' and I find that hard to believe).

Plastic feels great; both are very gummy (but not gross) and the lighter one is fingerprint-y.

looks like lemonade, lavender and white are the least stable colors. Orange and blue are stable. Wish I could pick up a few but my paypal is currently tapped!

Mine should be arriving in the mail today. I requested white, blue, or orange from Infinite when I placed the preorder - so we will see what colors I get. I will report back once I give them a some time in the field.

^^ curious to hear.. i wont be able to get my hands on any until tax time .. Im a proud member of the noodle arm club so will be looking for the lighter lemonade colors.. I bag a 168g First Run Merlot Icon that i toss from time to time on big open backhands but playing here in Upstate SC its mostly tight wooded golf so my Outlaw doesnt get a ton of air time but trying to work on my forehand more and its been helping there for sure

Let me start by saying I'm new to throwing Legacy plastic. I have a couple Icon drivers and have been surprised. After a few weeks the plastic feels completely different. Also they started very US but after a bit of flexing have become stable (even some end fade). Is this common with Icon plastic? I've never experienced this with star, champ, lucid, opto, etc. I have a outlaw on its way and can't wait to throw it.
