[Drivers] What is your mandatory disc for making mando's?

I'm having issues with sticking to a fairway driver for a mando that requires a straight shot start to finish.
The hole is only about 150-200ft but low line trees, making me want a faster driver type disc instead of a mid or putter.

What discs do you all use, for straight shot mando's from varying distances?
drivers, fairways, etc.

I would check out a Squall from DGA. They are a hybrid mid/fairway and they fly very well on low lines. Especially for such a short distance like the hole you described.

If I need a dead straight shot, I'll use the Amp, Axis, or Tangent, depending on the distance.

I'd throw a C line FD for the hole you're describing, and for the majority of the mando holes I find. The glide will get you the distance easily, and it's super straight even powered down a bit. You could go with an S line also.

damn, i used to have a squall but sold it. I've also been curious about the FD
thanks

If you get a C line, make sure you get a first or third run...the Discmania store is the safest bet. The second runs have a little less glide and more fade.

We have a double mando to play thread the needle with at Limona Park. If it's in the short position (250) I hyzer flip a beat DX eagle, and if it's in long (300) I throw a champ Eagle L or well seasoned X. I keep my throw short and compact, and try to throw with confidence.

yea teebirds and eagles have done well here, but it's the consistency that's hard.
sometimes they're too beefy, sometimes i overcompensate and send it wide of the mando.
i'm thinking a finesse disc is the best way to go, but one that stays low and glides far

any midrange, most putters.

the real question is what do you throw if theres a 20 mph headwind on this hole?

personally id throw a suspect, patriot or rival depending on the ceiling and whether a left or right finish is better

Its really all about confidence just pick a disc you trust and go for it

well the hole is pretty windless since it's congested with trees
also i can't make most putters work since it's really low line and 150ft can be very far in this scenario

mids have only gotten me pars most times, i can't get them close enough to basket, i feel something faster is required, or a perfectly thrown mid would work, but consistency is the main issue here.

i mean i can get some putters to meet the mando and stay under the trees, but usually i don't have much distance covered, leading me to a lay up for par or huge putt.

(If low ceiling, I would likely just throw a faster disc) Straight Distance: Surge Straight Moderate Distance: Valkyrie / F3 Straight Mid-range: F5 / M3 / M4 . I like using the Surge on low ceiling shots as it zips pretty good but is still controlled
