[MVP] Atom

it's not really a understable design in regards to putting putters. More glide and better grip for sure.

lots of putts in here:

^It sounds to me like the answer might be no, it doesn't sound as neutral-putting as the Proxy, or maybe even the Anode. But of course I haven't handled one yet.

Well, I failed miserably with both Ion and Anode, but I am blaming the plastic and inner rims. I just can't put with slick plastic, and both were Proton.

It's a great feeling as far as plastic goes.

Flight? I don't use it as a putter. I like driving with it. It has enough stability out the box that when put on an Anny it fights out enough to become flat but heading in that Anny direction. At the end of the flight if enough height was given, it'll fight out of that and fade in the forward direct. That fade will get beat out after enough tree hits though. I have one that I'm beating the snot out of because ultimately I want to see the same flight from a hyzerflip. We'll see, but I have high hopes.

I dig, and really my philosophy on putters is it's pretty much 99% plastic feel/how you feel about it, and 1% 'flight' if we're talking circle putting.

Watching the vid of Mike C putting with them, they seems to fade a little at the end on the longer putts, more than the Anode I think, which is why I'm thinking they won't start out that neutral.

Is this going to be the most understable putting putter from the two companies? Not interested in how it flies when thrown.

It's pretty neutral. On longer putts I get a little wiggle in the beginning and a little fade to bring it back, but it's relatively point and shoot. Definitely not understable.

I should have said least overstable I guess.

My personal rankings from least OS to most OS:

Proxy > Atom > Anode > Ion > Envy

Atom and Anode are pretty close, but I've had better results powering down the Atom with minimal fade so it got the nod for being less OS.

Watch out for some weird side dome in the hot pinks.. Both I received in an order had this and it's not from shipping etc don't tell me....

What are Atoms going for? I would expect them to be around 10-12 bucks.

I found little over 12 with shipping costs seems to be retail standard.

with bulk orders on free shipping $12/disc is pretty much the lowest.

edit: also found some weird side boob in another color too but only firms. very weird'

^ That's high for base plastic, no matter how sweet it is. :\

And side boobs should have been x-outs. Unless they are barely noticeable.

That is a little high for baseline but I expect the best quality from MVP.

to me its apparent but im a disc nut. I personally wont sell them as stock. you can see the picture' Innova has sent me discs looking like they were trimmed by a 4 year old with design scissors so just another day in retail DG :D

Shipping costs are a bitch. I can see in-store being able to sell these for $10 cash money.

They call it baseline but from the testers I felt the other day, I would say its more a pro/eliteX plastic. So the $12 would be about right IMO.

Don't get me wrong about the price. If I was a rich man, I'd buy thousands of these and just give them away, just so all could know this plastic's greatness. Which would make guys like Aim very angry. :p
