Can Scott Stokely compete in the Open division against McBeth & Wysocki in 2015?

If you watch some of the really old disc videos on YouTube (late 70s, early 80s) you can see the discs pretty well even in the 240 lines resolution at the time.

If Paul and some of the others used a Zephyr on that 168 ft hole and a few others, it might have saved them 2-3 throws.

put a fork in it, blue hair is done playing with the yuguns

Does anyone know of any other master's age players in the (Memorial) Open division? I'm curious how Scott stacked up against those players. Thx.

JohnE finished in 9th and he's a Masters age player. The big thing is when you look at the rating swing between Stokely's rounds. Lowest rated round: 917, highest rated round: 1041. Even if you look at his other two rounds there is almost a 100 point difference between them. He has the potential to throw very hot rounds, but the consistency isn't there yet.

That would indicate that he just needs more time out there competing. Wish I could be that good PERIOD, much less after a long break from disc golf :::shrugs:::

Yet.

I'm right there wth you. Looking at his rating detail, Scott only put together one tournament where he played 990+ golf in all the rounds he played. Without including any 2015 tournaments his rating is a 977 and I think as the season goes on he'll pull himself within striking distance of 1000 rated. The problem is, he needs to play 1020+ golf every round to be competetive in the Masters division at an NT or Major, let alone in Open where it would barely get you inside the top 20. According to his PDGA page he's going to be playing in the St Patrick's Pro, which is close to me so I might go see how he does. Worst case I'll go watch Nikko, Rico, Ricky and James Proctor battle it out.

I guess you have to give him credit for having the guts to be a total weirdo. He's just doing his thing, and doesn't really care.

Wtf did I just watch. I will laugh pretty hard if he wears the tin foil hat at the next tourney though.
