Hi everyone,

Played DG for about 3 years but got married two years ago and took some time off.. Now I'm hooked again! I use a Rattler for putting and a Wizard for upshots. But my Wizard has a little too much turn for some shorter shots.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is.. what is a good upshot putter that is more neutral than a Wizard. I've heard a lot about the Envy but the chart looks like it could be very similar to a Wizard.. any suggestions?

Aviar, Pure, P1, P1X, Dart, Anode, Focus, Warlock, PA4, and Nova. To name a few. I think he means fade.

RHBH Right to left is fade.

Anode, Aviar P&A, or a Beat up JK Aviar

If you really like gateway the voodoo and magic are straighter than the wizard.

Get a proxy.

When you say the wizard has too much turn? Do you mean it is flipping over? That's a form issue thing I would say. Wizards should be fading, but even still... a proxy will mask some form flaws for yah. It's pretty resistant to flipping and has little to no fade.

I'm going to shill for Reptilian Disc Golf. You should try the Serpent, their newest release. It's not beaded like the Wizard (the Scale is, which is based off the Wizard, but it's more OS than you are looking for) so it will feel a little different in the hand. It also has a thumbtrack on top. But RDG discs are molded by Gateway, so the plastic will feel familiar. I think the Serpent would be a good compliment for you. It's very neutral. You can order them right from RDG on their website.

Otherwise, if you want to try some new discs and are ordering online, PM me for a discount code for Infinite Discs ;)

The Voodoo is essentially a beat-in Wizard.. same shape, just sans bead. It's pretty much dead neutral and does not feel any different. The Magic, feels different and is under stable.

Assuming you mean it goes left (RHBH) at the end of the flight by turn.

In fact, if you weren't a 4 hour round trip.. I'd give you one ;)

Sounds like a new codec is needed. I'm in agreement that he said turn, but meant fade.

Or.... If you want something that still has just a little bit of bite but is still pretty much dead straight from 100 feet, go with my personal favorite for upshots: The Yeti Pro Aviar. I putt inside the circle with a SSS Wizard and use a Yeti Pro for straight upshots and and Envy for more stable upshots with some fade. The Envy is a very, very, nice disc and I recommend it highly if you are into carrying two putters for upshots. The Yeti Pros vary quite a bit by feel from disc to disc in terms of the amount of puddle top and stiffness of the plastic. Its best if you can feel them in your hand before you buy them just so you know what feels good in YOUR hand. That's my 2.5 cents.

The Mercy would be a decent choice as well. Holds any line very well and the medium plastic is perfect for throwing.

Any time I hear "neutral putter" I think of the APX/Reef.

The Polecat is my new neutral putter, though.

I apologize for leaving out some key information but it has been a long time haha. I never really understood the lingo much but I do throw right hand backhand and the wizard I guess you would say is fading too much to the left especially when I throw softer shots. I want something that willbe straighter and more easily manipulated by the way I throw it.

I can put some anhyzer on my soster shots and allow it to come back left but that is not always a choice if there is a tree or bushes to the right

Finished up school in AZ about 5 months ago and moved back to CA. Was just thinking on the way home that I need to make a trip out to AZ to play. Miss the courses out there.
