[Westside] Bard

bard vs flat z wasp? my wasp is pretty beefy . . . i'd say beefier than any current run kc roc i've thrown.

Bard is more OS, but definitely a tick faster. Similar to the Hornet in the fact that it goes far for how OS it is. Fits the role of OS Roc if you're okay with the faster speed.

So the verdict was my OS mid to complement my Zero hard mace, but now my verdict has become buzzz like and I love it even more. So instead of just cycling in a new verdict, I added a really domey 175 bard and man its OS. In a headwind it may drift to the right a bit, but it always come back left hard.

I've been tossing a Bard a bit and they are something. It throws a ton like my Yao, but has a flatter top and shoulder so that I can flick it cleanly more easily.

If I decide to make a bag switch in the near future it might be to the Bard.

Bard is the flatter Gator with more glide you've always wanted but didn't know to ask for.

Champ/ Glo or DX Gator? I find my DX and Glo Gators being quite different.

Sounds like a mold that really would lend itself to cycling in base plastic. Why the Mace is the only mid we can get in Zero. Bard and Verdict need be be widely available in base plastic.

Agreed 100%

From their lack of running the Verdict and Bard in baseline I'd speculate that the Truth and Mace didn't sell well enough to justify a full run. Which is a shame bc both molds would rule. Bards especially would immediately become my most thrown mids

Here to express some Bard love. Was originally throwing the brinster sentinel as my OS Roc, but find the Bard easier to range and control bc the feel in hand is more similar to a flat roc or roc3, really great mold. Feels more reliably OS than the Verdict for me.

So I caved and threw the Bard/Justice combo all weekend. No Roc no Yao no Truth. 90 holes and no other mids.

Didn't miss them once. Hyzerflips with the Bard are a thing of beauty. It flips up, turns, remembers that it's OS and dumps. Perfectly predictable and I nearly aced twice with it. Parked several shots in the 275-350 range with it and was very happy.

On one hole that is a FH shot for me off the tee with a bank behind it, I would usually throw a Harp. The wind was whipping and I thought I could throw the Bard harder and hit the bank. Worked like a charm.

I have another on the way and If I can get some BT(or beat a recycled to heck) I may never go back.

Bard has become my money approach mid - so very stable and reliable.

I think the Justice/Bard/Truth combo is going to be money this season.

I chucked my Bard back in the bag and threw it a few times yesterday. With my new power it held straight for a long ways, about 280 then dumped pretty hard and hit the fence at 320.

Threw my Bard yesterday on hole 25 at BRP and it smashed dead center chains only to kick straight back out. Ugh. D:

Ive been searching for something in-between my vector and zone. snagged a 167 vip bard yesterday and i think i may have found it. beautiful baby flex lines nice distance considering the stability. wish i would have found this mold sooner it is instantly in the bag over my verdict. now to see how the handles a bigger course and longer shots. very promising so far. why does the bard not get the love?

Bard is a great disc. I use mine as the OS compliment to my rocs, been long searching for a disc that can give me the same distance as a roc with more wind fighting power.

The Bard may just be the most under-rated Westside mold out there. It's straight money in my hand - BH or FH. It's that one disc that I throw and then get asked "What disc was THAT?!" It has gotten me out of so much trouble, with that little FH baby-flex when I end up slightly left on the fairway - it just snuggles right up to the basket!

Once the wind picks up a bit, it's Harp/Bard/Longbowman all day long for me. The perfect wind-fighting trifecta!

I think the Warship is just as underrated as the Bard. As are many Westside discs. For me Westside has one of the best disc lineups, buy one of each and you won't regret anything.

I just hope that the base plastic Bards will be available soon.
