I'm new, so it's entirely possible.
But I'm confused as to how me not liking the way it feels meeans I need a different grip.

The way you grip a disc will change the way it feels.

It's a lid, pretty much like any frisbee, it's just got a square shoulder. If you're trying to grip it on the rim it'll likely be uncomfortable. If you're using a fan grip, it's less likely that the shape of the rim will even matter too much.

I'm guilty of this with MVP putters, I can't stand them when I grip the rim to drive them.. if I'm fan gripping them, they're fine. (so I just throw the disc they copied anyway )

You don't need to like how every disc feels either, but being new.. grip can make a huge difference that might just be surprising.

With them being so new though, this probably isn't the right disc for them at this time. I know my love for the mold wasn't immediate. No different than the Comet.

I doubt they are going OOP since they just changed the stamp last season. My guess is that they are prioritizing more popular molds at the moment and cutting back on DX discs since they don't make as much profit on them.

Necro bump. Intentionally, with the meme of the halo polecat rising interest and now the existence of halo kitties this thread needed to be awoke.

I didn't like champ, I didn't like XT or G* either. I did not expect to like halo, I actually didn't want to cause it's the last innova molded disc in my bag… but damn the halo polecat is exactly what I wanted it to be. Just a touch more stable than fresh DX. Has glide. So damn straight at any power level. Bombing downhills, holding touchy approaches, it's amazing.

Pairs perfectly with a lightly seasoned DX and I imagine it will hold its sweet spot forever.

My buddy managed to nab one, and surprised me by saying he'd gotten me one too! I'm looking forward to trying it, I love the polecat in dx, and most every other really slow disc. I bag several Bergs, and am really curious to see how the halo kitty will compare to them!

I'm just glad I finally managed to find some DX Polecats without paying triple the price of the discs in shipping. Been looking around for them for several months and managed to nab a pair from the factory store.

They are out there if you are looking for more. Some of the smaller online retailers had good stock before the halos dropped. I got a backup stack from hazyshade cause they had my preferred polecat color, weight life and a few others also had them. ADK (pretty sure that's right) posed in "polecat people" that they have a stock of them in as of 2 days ago.

I was lucky and didn't need more backups until they were available again.

I bought a Halo Polecat, more for collector purposes than throwing. At any rate, here it is! I included my DX which I've had in the bag since spring of 2016. I have at least one fresh DX backup of similar max weight, and one or two others in DX. When a DX thrower lasts me 6 years, why would I need the Halo? Well, I guess I don't... but it is kinda cool. Fun move, Innova!

They made the **** out of the halos so your champ is definitely more rare.
I will warn you that the halos fly much more like a DX than my champs did.

One of my pink Marmo kitties is still in my bag. I sold the other for enough $ to buy a halo and some backup halos. . . I have a ton of DX
