The Colt is an awesome little disc if you like a nice feeling shallow putter, that flies nice and straight, very easily. I only use mine for approaches/shorter mid duties though, I use the Mercy as my circle/go-to putter.

The colt is one of the few new molds I think has staying power. Especially if the xd and classic roc die off.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but there is a reason the XD and classic Roc aren't very popular either. New packaging, new mold and a stupid name won't rock the disc golf world for long.

Really pumped to throw the star colts. I've been getting some nice straight hyzerflip drives out of my DXs and first run XTs. Hopefully the stars throw the same and I can save my XTs for putting.

The GStar colts from the factory store are garbage imo.

Before now, most if not all the VTech rim discs have come out in GStar production runs. But the Colt is coming out in Star instead. Gotta wonder if your analysis is shared by many others; hence, the Star production Colts.

Some of the star runs lately might as well be GStar. I've got a star mamba that is just as gummy and floppy as any of my GStar discs. And I like GStar in general, it just is a terrible fit with the colt. It's like a different mold entirely with that dome.

So if the star colt isn't completely flat topped and more on the rigid side, it's probably not gonna click with me. Though it really can't be any worse than the GStar version.

I've got a couple of soft Star Roc3s like your Mamba: very soft, practically GStar. They should do well in the colder weather that is coming.

I have a good feeling that the Star Colts are gonna be great, even if they are stable/understable. And if they are a bit understable, we can always keep hope alive for Champion Colts. opcorn:

My 2 pink 175 star x-outs arrived already. Moderately stiff yet nice grip, not floppy like gstar. But also not completely flat which is somewhat disappointing. My XTs are concave on top and feel perfect in my hand. These don't feel bad per se, but it's a noticeable difference. Looking forward to taking these out once the weather clears.

I had a 5% hope that the F2 stars would be proto mold. Apparently it is a 0% chance.

Stoked to get my hot pink star x out this week
a brand new DX Proto Colt has a beautiful flight... just want something that will stay there longer after a few tree hits.
And why'd they hafta go and make the disc less comfortable in the hand with the re-tool (sarcasm: lets make a round thing more square - that'll go over well)

Got my two star x-outs. Pretty nice imo. The plastic is good star, both are zipper top, neither is domey (but not flat either). One had some rim dimples so they are certainly x-outs for a reason besides stamp issues.

Both discs throw great. I feel like they actually fly faster, but are not any beefier than the first run DX. They are less stable than the first run XT. Very pleased, will bag and will buy production run backups.

I really like my XT Colts.
I just got my hands on a small stack of Star Colts and after looking them over I don't think I have any interest in checking those out. They were all domey but the plastic felt pretty good, not as soft as other recent star plastic I've felt. My XTs will last a long time for me because I don't throw them into trees at full speed like others seem to do...

Wow, so trees on your course don't jump out in front of your discs like they do mine on my course? Hmmmm, well maybe my Star Colts will change that when they come in...
